Councilor Valern's daughter. Tessa Valern: Turian Military Vanguard.
I picked the first name out of a hat, but you know you want this.
"Well sir, I am happy to inform you that I'm 'banging' your daughter."
But why would we ever want to do anything to everyone's favorite councilor? I'm sure we have nothing but everyone's best interests at heart.

Go Cheez go! Just woke up and haven't read all 13 pages but I'll add there are two more women mentioned in Retribution, one being the AMBASSADOR (probably one step below Councillor in terms of political power). They exist, don't try to tell us they don't. Shorten the fringe, widen the hips, raise the cheekbones a little.. done!
This is the problem.
They're damn ugly!

It's also inaccurate. We know they have a fringe. It kind of comes with being from Palaven, where radiation is something of a concern.

Slap some war paint on and nobody will ever know the difference.. ditto for the ladies.
If Tolkien can get away with dwarves that can't tell which gender is which, why do we need to make the turian ladies look so different from their male counterparts (In the LoTR MMO, you can't even choose a gender if you play as a dwarf)?
Just add a few subtle differences.. or hell, just give them female voice-actors. It's easy!

I was willing to give cut bioware slack in the 1st game due to the time, resources and disk space argument but when it’s the 3rd game in the series that excuse doesn’t really cut it anymore. Especially when they have had all his time to nail down a design and gave us new species in ME2 who were not even mentioned in ME1 lore before sorting out their existing ones.bandfred wrote...
Turian females should have been in the series from the start. Unlike the other races with no females in-game, there's really no excuse to not have a 1:1 ratio. Salarians females are mostly administrators and are much less common, krogan females are secluded in camps, drell are rare outside of Kahje.

As far as I can tell, the Turians were designed in a way that they resemble birds and dinosaurs. And due to the whole ME: Evolution fiasco and this thread talking about how female turians should look, I believe I may have found a solution for how BioWare and the fans can settle this debate.
Now this just came to me, but I believe that BioWare can get away with giving Females head fringes rather than none at all. This comes down to looking at bird species, including some you might not have thought about. Look at parrots, more specifically cockatoos and cockatiels. These two species of birds have feathered head crests, but despite the extreme similarity in appearance between the males and females, there is actually a slight difference. Having owned cockatiels myself I have noticed that the females have shorter head crests while the males have the longer curved crests.
This could apply perfectly with the Turians. Let the males retain the long head fringes like Saren and Garrus, while giving the females slightly shorter length fringes. Asides from the face paint, give the female turians a lighter skin tone, make certain body structures like the hips and chest more pronounced, maybe slightly bigger eyes, possibly shorter less pronounced mandibles and a shorter frill in comparison to the males (not short to the point of bald). BioWare now has ideas, the fans get what they want, everyone's happy.
Please BioWare? I implore that you consider this! :innocent:

I'd probably have choosen more brownish colors. Otherwise I feel this is lot closer to what a female Turian would look like. To me this is good because it still looks fairly alien. It also still looks like a Turian, rather then a "bald" Turian which just seems stupid to me. Female birds still have feathers covering their heads and they still have a set of tail feathers. If you are going to make the fringes out to be the feathers it's pretty stupid to just remove them and call that a female. Which is essentially what we've seen in the comics thus far. Since the females basically have slightly extended face plates and that's it.
Also I think it's implied that female Turian head fringes tend to come together towards the back of the head if they supposedly resemble Asari in that fashion. I could see that working to differentiate them from the males. Males (or more impressive males) have longer fringes that spread outwards. Like Saren did since he was said to be "Charismatic" and Garrus to a lesser degree.

@Alexander Krogan: The fringe debate will go on and on until we actually see a turian female in-game. I'd say females in-game > presence of fringe, but fringe would be nice.
As long as I was able to give my two cents and show BioWare how making the appearance of female turians can be done and make the fans happy, that's what matters. I would be lying if I said I didn't want to see female turians in ME3, because I REALLY do want to see them. Especially one that serves as a romance option, i.e. Garrus's sister or the chick that Garrus said had "flexibility", but I digress. I just wanted to present and prove my case with a very real and scientific explanation as to how it can be done. The head crest size difference between male and female cockatiels and cockatoos is the best example I could think of and to me it fits well with the Turian design perfectly.

One question.... why did Saren had fringes coming out of his cheeks? No other Turian has them.
How come no one has tattoos like Jack?
Why aren't all the men built like Jacob?
How come Samara and Morinth have that distinctive jawline?
Distinctive traits for distinctive characters, my friend. They aren't just randomly-generated NPCs!
EDIT: My one issue with 'shopped Garrus is that the head seems to small. Needs more chin.
