I do love her leonine features, and I still can't figure out what makes her seem so.. female but it just works so well.
Thanks.Homey C-Dawg wrote...

I think the idea of making the female turians a different color is also a good idea. I like the comtrast of the snow white maybe even a mirky green (if you live in LA, its the color of the ocean) female turian next to a grey or brown male turian. Just a thought. I do like the idea of women using different color paint for their face tattoos also....also, nice drawing.

That movie. Jesus Christ, that movie. It is literally the greatest highlight of my childhood, together with Starcraft. I watched it like thrice per day for several years on our VHS, NEVER got tired of it. Granted, I watched it with a swedish dub so it took me a couple of years to hear the original, eargasmic glory that is Susan Egan's voice for Megara, but dayumtychuscat.jpg, back in those days the swedish dub VA'ing was f***ing A-grade.AdmiralCheez wrote...

Confession: I couldn't figure out how to draw the fringe so I cropped it, derp.
On subject of voice actors: You guys mentioned some cool stuff, but I'd be happy as a clam if we got Susan Egan to do a voice. I mean, yeah, she's a Broadway singer (and Disney most likely owns the rights to her eternal soul), but her normal talking voice is awesome in and of itself.
Okay, maybe I'd just love her to voice anyone, period. Hurr dee durr.

It does look feminine doesn't it. I think it's the mouth. And the fact that the fringe/non-fringe is not shown, allowing the brain to envision it however you imagine it.
Nice doodle btw.
Oh great, now I'm imagining a turian version of Zira from The Lion King 2.Shepard Lives wrote...
If we're talking voice acting, I want turian ladies to have a pleasantly deep, throaty voice. Kind of like a lioness (this last phrase is probably due to me reading too much Daniel Pennac).
Your childhood sounds quite similar to mine, only more Swedish. I think I got the short end of the deal in that regard. My childhood could stand to be more Swedish.Arcian wrote...

You gotta admit, they set the bar high for characterization and voice acting. Bioware does awesome characters, so I like to think there's a relation there.Ah, Disney movies. What would I do without thee? *drowns in a sea of rainbows and nostalgia*
James Woods as a Reaper. Hilarity ensues.EDIT: I digressed. But I totally support your notion. Also, I wouldn't say no to James Woods in a voice role, either.

Whatever path they take...it will never be a happy path. The only way to keep fans happy is to have female and males of species in the game from the get go. You withhold females and shizzle hits the rotary air blower when you eventually get females.

Remember that N7 mission where there was a group of batarian terrorists hijacking a missle-launching facility on some planet's moon? There were female batarians walking around with their grandma-lookin sagging boobs, plus a slimmer neck and head.
Derek Watts: "They [the turians] are all male in the game. We try to avoid the females because... how do you make a turian female?"I bet we walked by, or even talked to turian and salarian females... We just did not even know it.

Hopefully Watts and co. don't use the most unholy comic as a reference. They butchered TIM, female turians, and what else?
Pretty much every single squaddie from ME1 as well as several plot-important details from the game, Executor Pallin, pre-established lore...ReconTeam wrote...

Excellent case in point. They started only with the females (er...female) and there was minimal to buggery about the complains of how the blokes looked in ME2.
