Looks really plain. The baldness doesn't make evolutionary sense either. Doesn't Palaven have higher the normal radiation and wasn't the Turian plating an adaptation to protect against it?

Well any trustworthy and likeable Turian would definitely have facepaint. I think that's why a lot of these morphs and such look wrongish... no facepaint. Are all of these girls... politicians or something?

But I think the above would be fine if the weird blackish-green part were replaced with normal grey plating, and you added some awesome facepaint. Why not?

pink? well why not?

edit: My photo editing skills aren't exactly good, but I try. This manip was made to see how the female comic-book turian would translate in to something more "ingame".

That is positively fabulous.

Put a blond wig on her for sh*ts and giggles.

I like it. I would have gone for a dark magenta, maybe a mauve, with her skin tone. But I like it!

So, now that the devs have an extra three months, think there's a higher chance of turian ladies?

Because having a game delayed because I demanded a certain feature would do wonders for my ego.

Yeah, okay, I'm being ridiculous.

I belive so, I suspect femaliens are the kind of things they usualy have to drop due to lack of time.

Well, now the modeling guys have something to do while the gameplay folks tinker with mechanics. Huzzah!

I want a Krogan female LI before a Turian female.

What kind of voices should they have, then?

I think you may be getting your hopes up too much regarding the delay.

A little self-delusion never hurt anyone.

Female voices with the Turian filter layed over, but with the filter bumped up an octave or two so it's not so deep.

Not that hard to imagine.

Sorry, still not feelin it.  Without at least half of a full fringe, I don't buy it.  Dark Horse can suck it.  But the face paint improves it slightly, only slightly(whisper).

Look, I don't like a lot of the desidns on here...but I rather them take one of my least favorite and put it in the game than just scrap the idea of including female turians. I just played through the first 2 ME games within the past 4 days and I must, the galaxy felt unbalanced by the lack of women. Volus puzzels me especialy since they're wearing an enviro-suit. Was it really too much trouble just to attach a female actor to a Volus character. I imagine all the Volus look alike. Hanar too. But the Turians, Krogans and Salarians need to kart out the ladies! I would just make Salarian women with just one horn like thing in the middle, instead of 2 like the males.

I like this. Actually that's more or less what I had in mind making an earlier post for the female Turians. It certainly would help distinguish them from the males. And making the females more "spikey" and plated is reasonable, while at the same time not resorting to "girly" tropes like longer fringes/hair or feathers.

Wow here's an idea!

Stick with the original concept art! Seriously this would have been fine, and this is what'd I'd have expected Bioware to do. It fits with the descriptions so far given in-game by male Turians, and they still look like Turians.

Besides Garrus little joke of "Reach vs. Flexibility" suggests Turian dimorphism is similair to Humans. A.K.A. males taller (longer reach; height means longer arms, etc.) females more flexible (doing splits is not comfortable for most men) and females have supportative waists (again another "human" thing).

Really if it's difficult to make female Turians distinguishable I'd say maybe remove/shorten the mandibles. I mean if we're doing the whole bird comparison thing:

Is this Garrus's Great-Great-Great-Great-Great Granpda and Grandma?

(Again my point still stands females would have fringes, just more or less "shorter".)

Making them indistinguishable is not difficult. It's the easiest thing to do: you don't have to actually do anything!

Yes...  but we got through an ice age when we lacked a lot of body hair...  Evolution isn't perfect; it's not the same as intelligent design.  Genetic adaptation isn't the only way to adapt to a harsh environment - especially when you're an intelligent species like us, in which case you have way more options e.g. we used fur.

@AwesomeName, then there's the question of why men adapted to radiation but women didn't.

They are adapted though (just not perfectly) - they just have less plating on the head (or at least the ones in Evolution do).  Why, in some parts of the world, do men have lots of chest hair, but almost no women do?
