Bioware has already said they don't look like the males, and that they have yet to appear in game.Black Raptor wrote...
While not like the Asari, turian females are almost identical to turian males, even in the way they sound to humans.
Thus they have been in the other games, you guys just assumed they were all male.

Well, they did it with quarians, only backwards, so no.Had-to-say wrote...
Wouldn't it seem odd for them to spring female titian on the galaxy after there absence in the first game?
It would seem even more weird, in my opinion, if we visited Palaven's refugees and there weren't any women. Turians don't distinguish between the sexes when it comes to societal role and rank, and every single citizen regardless of gender is required to join the military. They aren't separated like krogans or salarians.

I think the most favored idea to this day is that it's a side effect of neoteny. A bigger brain/body ratio was being positively selected in early humans, and the easiest way to get that is to slow down development to retain babylike characteristics, because babies already have huge heads in relation to their bodies. But another thing about babies (as well as chimp fetuses) is that they just happen to have less hair. So that trait was kinda carried along for no particular reason, as a harmless side effect.AwesomeName wrote...
I don't know - are you certain we lacked hair (not fur) because we didn't need it? As far as I'm aware, no one understands how it happened, and it's still a mystery. I always thought we lost it, despite needing it, then starting using fur - I could be completely wrong though, but I thought it was still open to speculation.
Good post. I find it particularly evident in housecats, where we've bred a non-social animal to be social by maintaining the "kitten-like" family connection into adulthood. I'm sure plenty of people are familier with those adult cats that try to nurse your shirt while being cuddled.
To add to that, humans still have hair on their head partially for the same reason that turians have fringes. One reason is to keep heat from escaping (since the head loses body heat quickly like feet), and the other reason is to protect our heads from the suns radiation (like a turians fringe), hence why bald dudes need to sunblock their.
Doesn't make much sense to me for any turians to have a fringe that doesn't cover the entire head.

Making them indistinguishable is not difficult. It's the easiest thing to do: you don't have to actually do anything!
Actually I prefer this to be honest. I was simply making nice to those who think males and females should look radically different. Really to an outside species they shouldn't.
I'd prefer males and females to look more or less the same, just change the voices. That's why I really think Bioware should stick with their original concept art.

No!
Obviously when Garrus was talking about his Scout lady-friend he meant she was a Sandwich Scout! That's why Bioware has never shown us one!

Dextro sandwiches are crucial to Turian life and culture. So somebody's got to make em'.

That's a bit creepy. What would a human boy do if he were raised by turians then?

Original concept art?
This:

Yes this came from Bioware. Maybe the original artist(s) is gone or something, but this was part of their concept art for ME1. I believe this comes from the ME1's Collector Edition artbook too. The annotations should make it rather obvious that it's a Dev thing.
The real question is: WHY HAVEN'T YOU DONE THIS BIOWARE?
