Screw it; let's dress her in flannel and make her f/f only.

I think the Mass Effect universe is one of the most believable in sci fi, but the lack of females really messes this up. It could be the best, but not without this. As people have said, asari are single gendered, they can all be mothers so are perceived as female. Krogans, fine, their females are highly protected. But for all other races I don't think there is an excuse.

This is not to say I don't want my characters to interact with them, it would be awesome to have conversations with all types of females, but at least create some reusable character models that can just be reskinned and used in highly populated areas in the game.

Now what would "appropriately feminine" mean for a Turian? We know they're a meritocracy, not a patriarchy or matriarchy, they all do military service and they evolved from a predatory species.
I only say this because the behaviours we categorise as male/female are mostly learned/socialised behaviour. What's considered feminine by alien standards may be vastly different from what we as humans would expect. Or may be subtle enough that we just don't get it but to other turians it would be as obvious as a blinking neon light.

A very good point. Still, I bring it up to note the more than voice and looks would be needed to differentiate between the male and female Turians.

The only thing I see is too thin/gaunt. Doesn't seem possible for bone muscle and skin to be that paper-thin.

Well, I guess the good Admiral will be kicking one in the near future because it seems to be the most popular.
(Also, 15 hours without a post? Jeez, you people! How are you going to keep this running when I'm gone?)

HA! I see what you mean. When I'm not working I'll see what I can do.
Anyways, that one also is gaining in popularity. Looks like it COULD work as a model for a femTurian. Just a few alterations and BAM! Female Turian.

Said Joker to EDI
"The lack is confusing,
It suspends my belief
Vakarian says they look fine,
For whatever that's worth
None to be found on the line, extranet search absurd, hey."
"No reason to be shortsighted,"
The AI bluntly spoke
"There are many on Palaven,
Or if not that is a joke
The Normandy will arrive at,
Palaven in months-eight
So let us discuss hips and fringe, in order to speculate."
Palaven's got turians,
Both genders -- this is true
There's all the women -- represent,
Barefoot turians, too.
Logistic assistance,
That female turians prowl
Normandy was approaching,
Garrus fans begin to howl

I feel this thread might be an elaborate plot to get Garrus' sister as an LI.
That would be the most awkward scenario I can imagine in ME3. Think he would try to kick Shepard's ass?

Oh good, I thought I was the only one who is rages for no apparent reason upon seeing that drawing. The purple female turian bust dose the same thing. No offensive to artist, the pictures are good, both those artists are awesome and much better than me but those pictures just induce rage in me for no reason.AdmiralCheez wrote...

It would be like Wrex and that Asari commando going at it, everyone would be dead except them.
Still though, since we are going to Palaven in ME3 it would be nice to see his sister,
I bet they'll kill her.
