Hey folks. I was recently asked what appearance mods I would suggest someone use. I don't tend to use a lot of them myself so I turn to the community. Any recommendations?

Or is there a list already in existence that I somehow missed?

You should take a look at the Hall of Fame.I don't use appearance mods normally, but, since no one answers, I'll mention a couple:

Oblivion to NWN2.
United Colors.
There's also one that lets you pick Wild Elf/Genasi hairstyles for other races, but I don't remember the name.

Sorry I can't be of much help, I could be interested in this too, unless there are compatibility issues.

Thanks Arkalezth. Yeah, I don't make much use of such things mostly out of fear of compatibility issues so coming up with suggestions has been harder than I expected. I will poke around the vault and have a look at the three you mentioned. I will post any conclusions I come to here.
