I know a Merril/Anders romance will end your Izzy romance but does sleeping with Izzy affect other relationships directly?

My hawke slept with Isabela before Fenris and the romance didn't break but I have heard if you sleep with her after you sleep with him it cancels it ... I have also heard this is not consistent

Isabela and Fenris both leave after you romance them. You can pursue relationships after them, but doing so breaks their romance.
You can sleep with isabela then sleep with merrill though, just make sure you do isabelas quest first, sleep with her, then do merrills and sleep with her.
