Hi guys, I've done a few searches regarding this topic but the info I've been able to dig up is very user specific and not readily adaptable to the majority of users.
My problem is that if I run into an object that is about shin or knee high I get launched up in the air and I am stuck, I can move feet in each direction but I can't come back down to the ground. I can still shoot and be shot at but can't progress through the game. Its especially frustrating when I am at points in the game where I cannot save.
If anyone has any ideas on how to remedy this problem I'd much appreciated it.

A noclip key is the only solution I've heard of, though I've also seen someone propose that it could be fixable in a save file if Shepard's location was edited in the correct direction & proportion.
See the FAQ for a link regarding the first possibility.

The problem is related to your playstyle. People who often get close to cover without sprinting might be lifted up fairly often. I always sprint so I almost never run into this problem. (About twice in seven playthroughs)
The following has to be placed under [SFXGame.SFXGameModeDefault]:
Bindings=( Name="NumPadFour", Command="Ghost" )
Bindings=( Name="NumPadFive", Command="Walk" )
After editing the Coalesced you need a program that makes sure it's not corrupted or reset. I use ME2IniFixer: www.apartments-kharkov.com/misc/ME2IniFixer.zip
Place this executable in the same folder as the Coalasced.
This code makes numpad 4 the ghost option, which means you can run through objects and get unstuck. Numpad five makes you walk again.
The command is called "Ghost" and has to be bound to a numpad key in the Coalesced. To edit the Coalesced use a program like Notepad+. The Coalesced is under Mass Effect 2 - BioGame - Confix - PC - Cooked.Kloreep wrote...
