Bruce Campbell. Man. That's a thread by itself: "What DA character could Bruce Campbell be?" My guess would be a slightly overweight dwarf with a penchant for experimental weapons and really awesome one-liners. And a hand replaced by a really nasty knife containing a demon's soul.

Sounds like one hand (and one cookie jar) away from Varric. Who, Bruce would have been a near perfect vocal alternate for. (Not that I don't love his current voice!)

I think he'd make one hysterical Desire demon. "Come get some baby."

That image is so wrong!:pinched:

I don't mean as in I know you're a mage but I have been given orders to ignore it by Meredith, instead as in pretends I don't have a big mohonkin' staff on my back and did spells right there in the gallows even. And I dont' think Varric could bribe Meredith or Cullen, to keep from draggin' my sorry butt to the circle.

The pauses where my mage is flinging her arms around when I need her to move or drink a potion. Need an interrupt, big time. Or the lag time where I am trying to tell my character to move and they just stand there while the baddy wails on them.

Basically everything expect the Champions/Wardens armor and battle, the speed and animations, not the popping enemies

All of the above

Along with parachute enemies...

Yeah, when Fenris asked, "Are you certain it's wise for you to be here?" I wanted my snarky reply to be....

"Psh, haven't you noticed I''m the exception to the rule. It's my game after all."
Followed by a look at the user/me for comic relief.

Or....

"Nah, don't worry about it, Cullen and the others aren't that bright anyways. I mean, I am carrying a magical boomstick on my back for Maker's sake!"

Snicker*  Oh and the, what seemed like a blatent push for me to sleep with Anders. What so I could be slapped in the face by his lying to me?

Lack of coersion or persuasion. And not being able to have Anders spill it and I can side with him or try and stop him (you could have made him do it regardless). But at least give me the opportunity.

That BioWare did to us what  Meredith did to the mages.  Give us the illusion of choice and hope only to kick us in the high or low hangin' fruit (as the case may be).

Yeah, I really wanted the oppurtunity and choice to stop him by having it rely upon my friendship with him. That way I could have really been the Hero of Kirkwall, saving it from Qunari, from Meredith, and Anders.

I wanted the intense love between my PC and Anders to be the convincing factor that drives Anders to find a way to split Justice from him. Which could very well still be DLC that I would gladly buy.

I like the idea of buying DLC that would coordinate my decisions from the core game. So it would matter.

Yeah, yeah, it should of been in the core.
But I would still buy it, just to save Anders and Kirkwall.

Edited: To clarify.

The lack of the realistic, gritty feeling.

It felt like an action game in repeated surroundings, everything was set up so you can do quests here and there, instead of a believable world where you happen to do quests...

If you know what I mean.

Some of the devs have taken us for fools from day 1. While everyone shared their fears, they came to these boards, sold their bull****, and now that the backlash has occurred... they're gone into hiding. When doing interviews, they minimize the anger and the disappointment.I think this is what is the most upsetting.

This is EA's usual M.O.

Seems like they teach this to the devs of every game company that they corrupt... er, buy.

-re-used enviroments. though this is also in DAO it's MUCH less obvious
-wave after wave of enemies: it gets so tiresome
-NOT ENOUGH CHARACTER INTERACTION!! I want to talk to my companions whenever I feel like it
-conversations flow badly with the interaction option. the exception seemingly with fenris who would usually direct the conversation back on track.
- only three response options always. i wish there was more variety
-weak ending

This^ and then you fight Meredith and the Circles all rebell because you showed them the templars can be defied. So the uprising happens without blowing up the Chantry and still BioWare gets their ending..erm lead in.

How many of us would pay MAD money for a DLC that makes Bruce Campbell the voice of ANY CHARACTER WE WANT!? Yes, Bioware! We Want Bruce Campbell to read the lines of EVERY BIOWARE GAME EVER and then be able to insert HIS voice to any character we choose! This is NOT unreasonable, but a sacred obligation!

Yes, I know a lot of you have "legitimate" complaints, and I've made a lot of them myself, but typing, and reading, the same complaints OVER AND OVER is getting to me. I figure if anything should be repeated, it should be the common sense demands of THE MAN getting a massive VA job from Bioware.

I really like Varric's voice actor, but when I recently replayed the opening of DA2, I could completely hear Bruce Campbell's voice doing Varric's lines.  "Well, Seeker, isn't that the story you heard?"  He's just got a real sly edge to his voice.

I wouldn't mind it at all if he turned out to be the Warden's voice (or the hero) in D3.

ROFL !!! I felt this way too! Like they were all hangin' out with each other and never invited me. Hell, Varric even taught my mabari to play Diamond Back and asked him to The Hanged Man later. I didn't get invited.:crying:

4. The inability to converse with your companions any time or place you wanted.

Made me a little sad. I actually approve for the most part - it was odd to get a flower from Alistair while navigating exploded flesh sacks in the Deep Roads or Leliana complimenting my hair when there's bits of Broodmother in it - but they should have at least MORE dialogue and interaction, and not all of it quest related (even if it is quest triggered). And more floated comentary. While most people have mentions about the Deep Roads, only a few would comment on Hightown, Darktown, Blooming Rose... in fact, did Janders have ANY commentary at all? I think he just obsessed over quests and told you to stop needling him while you were all busy piddling around in Kirkwall.

5. The way 90% of the "loot" was useless.

Rather irrtating, clogging up my inventory. Couldn't I have just been given the gold straight up? I'm already walking around with a crapload of rings and can't find where to buy more backpacks.

6.  That cave.

THIS. SO MUCH. Even if you can tolerate it for one playthrough, it would kill you for any more. The game is already tedious enough without exploring the same places ad infinitum.

14. etc., etc.

The thing is, I still rather like this game. And the gripes above are irritating, sure, but what really pissed me off was PARACHUTING REINFORCEMENTS. Guards falling out of the ceilings indoors! In DAO you could see hostiles at a distance, and they would attack when you got close. In some places in DA2 (such as the cellar in the Birthright quest) a couple do this, so you KNOW it is possible. But you can also see some FADE INTO EXSISTENCE to attack you. That just disgusting. <_<

A few things that upset me about DA2, in  bullet form,  and in no particular order of  "upset" significance.

1) the samey-samey reused maps.
2) The clusterphobic camera that I found myself fighting with continuously; no isometric view
3) The unneccessary cookie-cutter Character builds  (warriors can't use bows or dualwield;  Rogues  can only use Daggers in melee; Mages can only use staves;
4) The f*cking Combat, in all its silly, childish  exaggerated glory
5)  No more finishing moves  (I guess they had to take them out because nobody liked them in the first game, right?)
6)  Can't have conversations with your companions anymore, unless you travel across town, to their home base, and even then, only sometimes
7) Bosses -   A misguided retard  game developer with an IQ lower than his shoe size decided that the  way to make Boss battles more memorable and fun was to give all bosses  10,000  health points, and absolutely nothing else.     Their AI is still just as  dumb as  any trash mob, but in order to defeat them, you have to hack away  at them longer.  (Literally.  Hack, hack, hack, hack.... for several minutes)
8) The  ceiling ninjas; the moronic  respawns; the waves that happened in every fight
9) Ring; Ornate Ring;  Amulet; Superior Amulet; Sword.  Greatsword and other lifeless, generic, emotionless drivel that proves the complete lack of  any  labor of love put in this game
10) The F*cking ending;  No no wait.  Scratch that.    This game didn't have one.  Can't bash something that doesn't exist.  Sorry about this one.
11)  The lack of even the illusion of choice.  So, you think you sided with the mages?  NO.  you did not.   They're still your enemy and you still have to fight them, right before you fight the Templars.   Ditto if you  think you sided with the Templars.
12) Graphics.  Some people prefer the cartoonish-based graphics of DA2  over the realism-based graphics of its predecessor.  I don't.
13) The   Vegas-style,  neon light-sign   user interface -  Because fantasy RPGs  need  that modern look, that's what I always say.... Not.

Honestly, the thing that really bothered me immensely was the fact that I couldn't inspect things upon finding them. So I pretty much always had 10000000 Ring/Ornate Ring/Belt.
