It depends on if you install the game discs on the hard drive for faster load times and how many save game files you have.

My ME1 folder is 7.4 GB (6.9 GB from disc install, and ~500 MB from all DLC and save files)
My ME2 folder is 17.3 GB (12.5 from disc installs, and 4.8 GB from all DLC and save files)

As far as Mass Effect 3 is concerned, it will probably closely mirror ME2 depending on how much DLC they release. Since each disc is 6 - 7 GB each and ME3 will (and I'm guessing here) have 2 discs, then we're looking at 12-14 GB from the disc install. And day 1, you're probably looking at less than a gig for DLC and save game storage space needs.

But you may never know.

Good lord. Thankfully, I have you guys to explain all this stuff to me. I usually just put the disc in and go from there. I know now that I must purchase a 250GB system.

Thank you ever so much! Image IPB

Glad I could help.

:D

Since you're in the market for a new XBox, I should point out that Amazon has a promotion going on right now where buying a new XBox gets you a $50 amazon credit and a 1600 point XBox Live Point card for downloading all that DLC you're gonna need. You can then take that $50 credit and buy MORE POINT CARDS!!! SO MANY POINTS!!!

;)

ETA: Sory I missed your earlier question, but yes the ME1 DLC is still available from XBL.
Bring Down the Sky [EN]
Pinnacle Station

The Platinum Hits version of Mass Effect comes with Bring Down the Sky on the disc, but getting it and Pinnacle Station to install at the same time is kinda buggy. I think you need to buy and download Pinnacle Station THEN install BDtS from the disc. (Or maybe it's the other way around? I have an older copy of ME1 so all this info is 2nd hand).

ETA2: If you and your brother are swapping 360 consoles, you shoudl point him to this link and let him know that he needs to transfer his content licneses to his new console.

Good luck on your journey

Really, you don't have to buy Pinnacle Station. Really. I mean it. For the love of God, man! Don't do it!

I kinda promised myself that I would play all DLC. What's wrong with Pncl Station? Image IPB

Please don't just find any old thread and post there, especially one that has been dormant for so long and from what I can tell has nothing to do with the problem you are having. Essentially you could be considered spamming.

Second thing: what is your problem? You're missing something in your first sentence, and without the right information no-one can help you. Clarify the problem you are having then maybe someone can help you.

Jesus Christ. I haven't been here for seven months.

The topic of the thread is "How much memory do..." and the message is "....Mass Effect 1, Mass Effect 2, all the DLC, and Mass Effect 3 (aprox. guess) take up on the Xbox 360?"

The only error I made was in my incorrect use of the ellipsis. Other than that, I don't think I need to hold your hand through the question.   ;)

The first post even answered my question. I purchased my console in June/July and made the right choice of space because of that response.

Thanks for reminding me that I actually have an account left.

I don't know what your problem is Groovie as I wasn't even responding to you. Read the post before my previous and you'll know what it is I am responding to.

EDIT: that you started the thread doesn't change my initial post on this thread; I was not responding to you, Groovie. Internet forum custom and layout dictates that a post tends to respond to the immediate one above. Unless...:bandit:

Problem? Jeepers. That's why text is such a terrible vehicle for communication. Please excuse my wry tone.

Also, my bad. Please forgive me for assuming that the message that was posted on my thread and sent to my email address was intended for me. But yes, I was mistaken.

Next time, use the username of the person you are replying to in the message. Or put the message you are replying to in quotes. That way, those of us who are unfamiliar with "internet custom" won't get confused. ^_^

Let me clarify by stating that by 'problem' I didn't mean attitude, I mean the game the issue you were having. Internet interaction should be presented in the way the Elcor speak in ME2. (Doesn't change the fact that Chien is missing information from their post which is needed for others to provide help if they can be bothered.)

Quotes are unnecessary for the most part if responding to the immediate post above your own. (Humorously: clicking a quote button is too much effort.) Only useful if wanting to refer to someone else's post separated by several others, or wanting 'proof' of what that poster had wrote.

I agree. ^_^

Cheers...now I shall resume my pre-ME3 hibernation.-_-
