OS: Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit SP1
Processor: Intel i7 3.07 GHz
RAM: 12 GB
GPUs: Dual AMD Radeon HD 6800 Crossfire
Driver: ATI Catalyst 11.4
Dragon Age II: Patch 1.02

My system definitely has DirectX 11 installed. I tried reinstalling it but the installer said it was already there. dxdiag says DirectX 11 is installed.

The Dragon Age II Configuration Utility even detects DirectX 11: when I go to the Platform sidetab in the utility, it lists the DirectX Version as "DirectX 11 (Jun2010) or later".

Despite this, I CANNOT change the game's setting from DirectX 9 to DirectX 11, either in the Configuration Utility or in the Options > Video menu in the game itself.

I've even tried manually editing the DragonAge.ini file to read UseDirectX11Renderer=1 but the edit just overwrites to UseDirectX11Renderer=0.

Please help!   :crying:

Try and download and re/install High res pack?

Tonight I uninstalled/reinstalled the game, the high-res textures, DLCs, and patch 1.02 in that order.

Unfortunately, nothing helped.

Maybe you can change if DX11 should be enabled in the cataclysm control center (I've no idea for myself but I just thought there might be such a feature in it)

I had the same problem after patch 1.02. I noticed that the utility was only recognizing my onboard video (which was disabled in BIOS and did not support dx11). I ended up using driver sweeper to uninstall my drivers and then reinstalled them. That fixed the problem for me.

Have you tried updating your Catalyst application profiles for crossfire

I'm running the most recent version of the Catalyst Control Center (11.4)

Thanks for the thought, Enkiedo, but I don't think that is the issue here, because I don't have separate onboard video, and because the DAII config utility is detecting that I have dx11 installed.
