If that doesn't help, please create a NEW post describing your issue. It is difficult to troubleshoot more than one user's problem per post. Please use standard spelling, formatting, and punctuation-- you are creating a document, not a text message. In your NEW post, include the following information:
- What edition of the game you have (original release or Ultimate Edition)
- The format of your game media (retail disc, EA Digital Download, Steam, Impulse, etc.)
- What patch version you have (see below for help)
- Your hardware specs (see below for hints finding these). Please include :
- processor type and speed (example: Phenom II X4 3.4Ghz)
- amount of system RAM (example: 4GB)
- your display adapter type, its RAM, and its driver version (example: GTS 450 1GB, driver 271.41)
- your sound adapter (example: VIA HD Audio)
- Your specific version of Windows, including if it is 32 or 64-bit (example: Win 7 Home Premium, 64-bit)
- If you have any third party mods installed
- Finally... a complete description of your problem, including what steps you've already taken to resolve it
When describing your issue, consider these questions:
- What is the nature of the problem you are seeing?
Example: No sound during a particular scene.
- When did the problem start occurring?
Example: Every time you perform a certain action, after a certain number of hours of play, after downloading the latest DLC.
- How frequently does this problem occur?
Example: Once but it hasn't repeated, only when I launch the game, only when I reboot, every time I play.
- Where in the game does your problem occur?
Example: Is the problem happening for a specific scene, place, or throughout the entire game?
- What are the steps in replicating the problem? As much as possible, try to describe exactly what you were doing when the problem occurred.
- Have you modified your game in any way?
How to find your patch information:
On the DAO Launcher Screen, select "Configure". This loads the Dragon Age: Origins Configuration Utility. Select "Game" from the menu on the left. Look for the version number next to "DAOrigins.exe". Other executable files will have different version numbers; this is normal.

How to find your system specs:
On the DAO Launcher Screen, select "Configure". This loads the Dragon Age: Origins Configuration Utility. Select "System" from the menu on the left. This will list the basic hardware information needed for troubleshooting.

You can also get system hardware information by going to the Windows Start Menu, select "Run", and typing dxdiag. This will launch the DirectX Diagnostic Tool. Look through the various tabs for information.

Please keep in mind that, since this forum is entirely volunteer-based, it may take several hours for someone to respond to your post. Again, official tech support is available at support.ea.com.
Thanks to Gorath Alpha, Pacifien, and Victor Watcher for their contributions to other reporting guides, upon which this is based.
