Looking for fix on 'windows guest account " screw up,..anyone hear any rumors of fixes?

Wouldn't the fix be to run the system as admin? Really have no idea what you are getting at.
Seen various people asking for another patch insisting they still can't play and trhe game is at fault and then you find out it's an issue on their end and they just never gave enough information to explain the problem they are having.

I was having the same problem and was told by Tier 3 that it was my problem. Unofficial official word is that the fix for a number of problems such as that will be integrated into the 1.03 official release patch. Hopefully out soon!! Hope this helps

Ballpark estimate to nearest month would be nice. Do I have enough time to finish two more run throughs of Mass Effect 2 before the 1.03 patch is released?

That would be the obvious solution, and in most cases I suspect that you'd be right.
However, the fact remains that all the little "run as administrator" tricks (not just the right-click, Run as Administrator option) fail to work, and we're left with the same error telling us that we need to be running with administrator-level privileges. 1.01 and 1.02 didn't fix the issue for me, so I'm hoping that 1.03 actually does what we've been promised.
