Varric. No question. The humour, knowledge and experience combined with a lack of murderous, broody crazypants tendencies. As close as you get to perfect in DA2!

Donnic and Saemus also seemed relatively sane, but they don't really get enough screen-time to be certain.

I'm a little bent, but if I wasn't crazy, I'd romance Merrill. But it'd probably take longer than 4 years to get the gumption to actually go beyond friendship.

Everybody is gay/straight for Varric so he's at the top of the list.

Sebastian would be my second choice. He's a good guy. Anders and Fenris are too cray-cray and the others don't get enough time to know them.

I'm sorely tempted to answer "my hand" as that'd be most likely. But from the party I'd say Aveline if I had to choose. Nobody outside of party made a good impression or long enough impression off the top of my head.

Nobody. I am straight, and aside from Fenris, who would be too unstable in reality, there's not a single male character I find even faintly appealing. Maybe Cullen. Maybe. Then again, I'm not really into soldier types.

First is Varric, although I would have to compete with Bianca, I love a man with a good sense of humor.
Then Cullen, seems like it would be fun to break him from his bashful nature.
Lastly Fenris, yeah he'll be a little unstable in real life but I like tattoos and he's not so bad to look at either.

Alistair, but since this is probably a DA 2 related question I go for Sebastian. He seems to be a decent guy with good manner and it doesn't hurt that he is good-looking on top of that. Also, he is the most stable one except for Varric, as long as you don't blow anything up.

My second choice would be Cullen though I'm not sure if I would romance him in real life. Like lizzbee I'm not really into soldier types (and I don't count Alistair here since he is more moderate and not a templar anymore).

I really like Varric but I'm afraid he will always be stuck in the 'friend-zone' now, so it's either Sebastian or Cullen. Sebastian will be more likely.

But seriously...probably one of the Hawke sisters. If I could somehow get my fantasy going and have both of them agree to it, that'd be nice.

Sebastian, though obviously I would have to rival him first and dispel those crazy notions about chaste marriages and the like. Or else Cullen, who also seems like a decent (and relatively mentally stable) chap. Along with not being completely embittered and/or insane, both have the advantage of killer good looks and sexy accents.

That answer's practically cheating, though. There's really no one else in DAII though. I could get behind Alistair or Teagan if I'm allowed to pick from Origins.

If I had to choose out of the LIs then Fenris just because Anders is too much of a drama queen. The female LIs are so much better though.

Varric, hands down. Who can resist the combination of charm and a bare chest? If I had to choose an actual LI, I guess I would rivalmance Sebastian and convince him to return to Starkhaven. At least then I get to be an actual princess.

Well, not that I'm not already a princess...
