So I built a blood mage, but on a later level up i choose Spirit Healer simply to get the stat advances.
Now it seems I have deactivated my Blood magic skills

When I go to "more info" on any of the Blood Mage spells it writes:

Requires a specific modal ability
Requires active ability: Blood Magic 

Can i reactivate blood magic at next level up? Or have I forever lost my dear abilities?

You have to activate the sustained ability, "blood magic", before you can use any blood mage spells.

If that's not the cause of the problem, I'm not sure what's up.

heh, just don't do what silly thing i do and leave blood magic on when casting heal, drain health, death magic or group heal (lifeward too >_>)

I'd only have blood magic active if I wanted to actually use the blood mage specific talents or if my mage was out of mana+lyrium potions. You don't need to keep it active all of the time, and thus don't need as much health as a tank.

Thanks for the great advice, i mainly activate Blood wound and maybe combo with a blizzard from my other caster :-)
