But preordering and getting right on launch is pretty much not happening at all.

Eh...I like the world of DA, but with the direction Laidlaw and company seem intent on going, I don't know that I necessarily will like future DA games. We'll see- but I can imagine DA and most BioWare games simply becoming relegated to being watched on youtube or picked up dirt cheap on a Steam sale at this rate for me.

If anything, the thing that really pissed me off about the ending was Leliana saying, "That is no coincidence!" when there were good reason that the Warden and the Champion are both missing, and none of them are related to each other. The Warden is 1) dead, 2) ran off with Morrigan -- who took him into the mirror and killed and ate him, 3) got wanderlust, or 4) took part in some secret Grey Warden stuff. The Champion is on the run, laying low from all the forces that are out to kill him/her (and I'm sure waiting for an Awakenings style expansion for DA2).
Unless DA3 is Flemeth was purposely picking people to become heroes in order to form some League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, though that would go completely against what Bioware said they planned for the Dragon Age series (they aren't going to be sequels).

I agree as well.erynnar wrote...

I liked DA2's story just fine. Not everything has to be EPIC! I'm not a fan of the "AWESOME!" button or re-used areas. Kirkwall was pathetic and I would like companion inventory back.
Yet I enjoyed DA2 despite the poor design decisions, so yeah I'll get DA3 first day.
The concept of the story was just fine. It was the way it was implimented and all those glaring plot holes that made it bad.
A lot of us complainers are fine with a story that doesn't focus on "evil bad dude, army fight!" epic type of stories, its just DA2 failed on delivery on what was promised.
I do hope Bioware looks to the witcher series on how to impliment NPC's in a city, and how to make a city too.. frankly, sparse cities and furniture NPC's aren't cutting it anymore for bioware games.
None of this "console limitation" bullsh!t I keep hearing on the reason for crappy NPC's and an empty city. If thats the problem, leave it out for the console versions, but keep it in on the PC version. Some PC gamers are getting tired of console designed and ported games to PC.

If Merrill appears in DA3, I would buy it regardless of how short its development cycle, or how crappy it is.

You'd waste money on a shallow and less than stellar character? o.O
I want to set her face on fire and then put it out with a screw driver.
