Eh...I like the world of DA, but with the direction Laidlaw and company seem intent on going, I don't know that I necessarily will like future DA games. We'll see- but I can imagine DA and most BioWare games simply becoming relegated to being watched on youtube or picked up dirt cheap on a Steam sale at this rate for me.

But preordering and getting right on launch is pretty much not happening at all.

I'm not quite here yet.

But I fully understand the sentiment.

I will have to wait for certain factors I'm hoping to see in DA3, if certain things will be present in the game then perhaps I'll consider it pre-order it or just buy it during the first two weeks but so far I'm not so sure untill I know more, though I am already interested in the game because I did liked Origins a lot and DA2 kept me busy so I'm not ruling out DA3.

The only way I'm getting DA3 is if we go to The Anderfels. And it stays truer to Origins.

For me to even consider purchasing Dragon Age III, they have to make it.

Depends if it plays more like an RPG and not some trash hack and slash.

- If it's back to its roots (a pure tactical old school RPG which is polished like Origins), I'll buy it.

- If it's using the same mechanics / gameplay as DA II (no matter how improved or not they are), I'll pass. After all, Bioware isn't the only company out there which creates good RPGs or good action games with RPG elements. I'm still intrested in the Dragon Age franchise because of Origins and not DA II.

- If it's a combination of the best elements between DA:O and DA II, I'll think about it.

If anything, the thing that really pissed me off about the ending was Leliana saying, "That is no coincidence!" when there were good reason that the Warden and the Champion are both missing, and none of them are related to each other. The Warden is 1) dead, 2) ran off with Morrigan -- who took him into the mirror and killed and ate him, 3) got wanderlust, or 4) took part in some secret Grey Warden stuff. The Champion is on the run, laying low from all the forces that are out to kill him/her (and I'm sure waiting for an Awakenings style expansion for DA2).

Unless DA3 is Flemeth was purposely picking people to become heroes in order to form some League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, though that would go completely against what Bioware said they planned for the Dragon Age series (they aren't going to be sequels).

This must happen. Bioware, make it so.

I liked DA2's story  just fine. Not everything has to be EPIC! I'm not a fan of the "AWESOME!" button or re-used areas. Kirkwall was pathetic and I would like companion inventory back.

Yet I enjoyed DA2 despite the poor design decisions, so yeah I'll get DA3 first day.

The concept of the story was just fine. It was the way it was implimented and all those glaring plot holes that made it bad.

A lot of us complainers are fine with a story that doesn't focus on "evil bad dude, army fight!" epic type of stories, its just DA2 failed on delivery on what was promised.

I do hope Bioware looks to the witcher series on how to impliment NPC's in a city, and how to make a city too.. frankly, sparse cities and furniture NPC's aren't cutting it anymore for bioware games.
None of this "console limitation" bullsh!t I keep hearing on the reason for crappy NPC's and an empty city. If thats the problem, leave it out for the console versions, but keep it in on the PC version. Some PC gamers are getting tired of console designed and ported games to PC.

This^

I agree as well.

Of course I will. I've played far worse games and continued to provide patronage to their respective series, and Dragon Age will be no different in this regard. I will certainly hope that they learn from their mistakes for the next installment, but I won't boycott the franchise because Dragon Age 2 didn't meet my expectations.

Gut feeling: I don't know. Probably yes. If DA3 will be exactly like DA2, then at least it's good fun for a few hours.

Analysis of gut feeling: Wow, I never thought I would ever be so unenthusiastic about a potential Bioware game.

No. I would wait 6 months AT LEAST, read the reviews and then determine whether any of the horrendous errors are taken care of. So, no to DA3 for me and no to ME3. Will be looking for some other company to enjoy until they clean up the mess. It's a bummer.

If it continues Hawke's story, I'll probably buy it. I've enjoyed Dragon Age 2. I'm in my fourth playthrough, that says something. But if it's all about the Warden, or they go back to an unvoiced player character, it would probably be less of a sure-thing.

If Merrill appears in DA3, I would buy it regardless of how short its development cycle, or how crappy it is.

You'd waste money on a shallow and less than stellar character? o.O

I want to set her face on fire and then put it out with a screw driver.

No I will not.

Unless they make a very big shift and they go back & beyond DAO in terms rpg and other thing like : resign from dialogue wheel, make multiple races choices, no more waves, MUCH MUCH less but more interesting combat, no more anime-like flashiness and cartoony style, make player choice matters alot.

No more simple MMO like quests, full customization of companions, way to solve some quests and encounters without combat, much less streamlining, no more autoressurection & auto "come back to full health&mana" after combat etc.

I don't see that coming but unless I get it I won't buy DA3.

I am tired of compromises.

I won't pre-order like most people are saying, but I'm pretty sure I'll buy it unless I hear its gotten WORSE, which I think would be a little hard.
Personally I would love them to keep to the great story and other fantastic features from origins, but retain the faster combat and voiced character that was seen in DA2. Now when I say keep the voice I don't necessarily mean the dialogue wheel, however. I just really don't want to go back to an emotionless character again.
Please :(
But still I think they should definitely go back more so to Origin's style in the wide scheme of things. Mainly story, Bioware needs to prove to us again how this is their strongest and most brilliant talent, which they sadly failed to do in DA2. It'd be great to see choices that actually affect the storyline again and such in-depth plot that even after five playthroughs you see something new.
They need to get us enticed and interested in the story and give us a reason to what we do. In DAO there was this massive threat of the archdemon, in act 1 especially in DA2 I had no clue why I was doing what I was doing half the time.

You do not love Merrill, therefore your opinion is unimportant.
