I most likely will, yes. Unless DA3 is an MMO or something.
DA3, will you buy it?

I hope and pray that Dragon Age 3 is NOTHING like Dragon Age 2! This wasn't Dragon Age, it was a giant step backwards in RPG story immersion, character freedom, enviroment and dungeon creativity, etc. and it was a story with no real consequences in the end. No matter what I decided, it didn't matter in the long run. The story is what it is without me. I was an errand boy; not a champion. I was a companion to a bunch of incompetent whiny characters that sought me out to solve all their problems. Who was there for my character? The reason why none of them could offer any real emotional support was because they were shallow and without depth. Bethany was the only mage in Kirkwall that wasn't possessed by an abomination? What is that?! "The demon made me do it." Bah! What happened to "personal responsibility"? Even Anders was intolerable (even on a mage playthrough) I felt zero sympathy for him and his cause when every mage in the city is a blood mage seeking to kill me and my family at every turn, even when you assist them and show them mercy. Everyone blames your (Bioware's) character. Not a fulfilling experience, nothing at all like Dragon Age Origins. There was no consequences to my decisions like in Dragon Age Origins. Also, If I wanted to collect trash, I would have picked through the littered streets and dumpsters. Let me tell you, there is nothing like a long boss battle and in the end you get useless trash. No special weapons or armor, just a few silver and trash. In ten years time the city and outskirts, even companion clothing, do not change? I hated that. Forget the upgrades, let me give them armor and robes of my own. That is unrealistic. Makes you wonder if they bathed @ all. I was disappointed and will be hugely disappointed in Dragon Age 3 if it is anything like this so called sequel. If DA2 is not a sequel, then what is it? A flimsy story set in a paralleled universe? I could go on and on. Keep the combat, bring back all the story and character depth and humor of the first. Make my characters decisions have real consequences like in DA:O. As far as character interaction, I could flirt with anyone and talk rudely and forcefully to anyone with no real immediate feedback from them. They stuck around no matter what. They must be desperate. In DA:O, I was "put on the spot" by the characters and their reactions to my "choices." Some even left my company.
Nowhere in this game does that happen, they just do not care (about themselves or anything but their problems). I may as well have been a nurse and not a champion. I surely was expecting a deep and immersive experience like before.Sadly, I will be trading the game in. This is not Dragon Age, it is a rushed mediocre mess that leaves one dissatisfied and wanting a new game. It's a huge step backwards. :'( Dragon Age is NOT Mass Effect, let's keep it that way. Even Mass Effect 2 got rid of the recycled environments. After playing thru DA:O and all it's DLC so many times, I am left feeling like a family member just died.

sure if I will, do with it to be honest. I loved both DA:O and DAII on their own merits but there are more things I'd like to see, something that will see Bioware going back to their roots in term of development would be nice, I dont mind waiting for a really well made well thought out game in terms of graphics, gameplay and story, much as i love the DA franchise I wont buy a game based on that alone.

If it returns to its Origins roots it'll be a day 1 buy.
If it's more DA2 than DA:O I'll wait for the price to drop.

I will not preorder again. I will wait till a couple of good patches come out and read the reviews of the players and not the sites. I love the DA universe (except mage clothes). Bioware can redeem themselves - if EA is willing to give them the time to put into the game.

Will I buy DA3? Well, there's not a chance in hell for a pre-order. BUT, if hell were to suddenly freeze over and Bioware/EA are able to ingest a healthy dose of humble pie; acknowledge in some meaningful way that many within the loyal fanbase are extremely disappointed with their latest offering; rediscover what really drew us all into the franchise in the first place; jettison "artful" stylings, "streamlining," mediocre storylines/characters, and cartoonish exploding bodies; then yes, I might actually buy DA3 after a trend of positive reviews.
If hell stays at its inevitable and normal temp, then I, like many, will just migrate away and go back into the Bethesda/CD Projekt camps where developers feel zero need to radically overhaul or apologize for producing a fantastic flagship game; and where customers and fans are still (at least) offerred the illusion that they're valued, and that their wants and desires have meaning to the company.

I liked Origins, I liked 2, so I will buy three unless it becomes an MMO.
Still not too happy about that happening to KotoR

I will buy it, mostly because I want to know how the story plays out.

I agree. If it heads back to the Origins style of character creation (include the ALL races) and has a compelling story with in depth character interaction, full equipment use for all members, removes the anime style blood bags and superhero combat moves and alows me to explore more thatn 1 square mile of beach front, I would seriously consider a day 1 purchase.
Keep it like DA2 or

I personally am still holding a small hope that Bioware staff will apologize for making DA2 while releasing DA3 and state "That game is the worst game we have ever made, so we are going to pretend that it never existed so you get to import your save from DA:O"
At least that's what I'm hoping for... Because Warden and his/her companions were far more interesting than those of Hawke.

Silly. Bioware no longer has the integrity to make such a statement. Which is ironic, when Square-Enix, which has disappointed its Final Fantasy fans almost repeatedly with each progressive game since FFX, and is known for being 90% glitter, 10% lackluster content in the name of turning a profit, still had the balls to stand up and say "Look, we're sorry we made a sh*tty game. Here's everyone's money back." when they released the train wreck which is FFXIIII.

What does DA3 need to have in order for you to pay full price for it?
Focus shifted back towards RPG instead of Action.
Longer development time.
A marketing campaign that doesn't make me feel jaded and cynical.

No. Or at least not at full price, maybe when the ultimate edition comes out AND has a discount. I won't be deceived again.
