No, I hate it when characters "die" only to be bought back latter for shock value. It’s stupid, I don't think I've ever watched something that had that and actually thought it was well done.

I hope BioWare doesn't do something stupid like this.

The giant nuclear explosion that was viewable from space says otherwise.

Good Christ, I wish both of them would've gone up in that blast...though Kaiden never died on me in combat so he gets props for that.

That would be quite awkward.
Kaiden : Hey! I survived that nuke you abandoned me with!
Shepard : uh...........****tttttt

Please no. The Virmire decision was emotionally charged and a high point of ME1. To do this would completely cheapen it.

Ehhhh... no.

They are dead as... dead people.
Big boom = they blew up into millions of pieces...

or... there is a conspiracy... the reapers recreated them O_o

No.  It makes zero sense they'd still be alive.  Even if they were in the tower and not down by the bomb there's no ****ing way they made it out of the blast radius to survive fast enough.

Now one of your surviving squadies getting indoctrinated and turning against you is a good idea.  Just not what you brought up.  That idea sucked.

if they do that then that choice in ME1 looses all the impact and importance.

No. Let me break it down for you. Person + Nuclear detonation 2 inches from face = no more person. Or, to simplify, Nuke > Person

If they somehow managed to escape a nuke faster on a random cruiser faster than we did on the Normandy, then by all means, they should be alive, but somehow, I really, really, doubt it.

everyone keeps thinking I was suggesting they walked away from the blast. I was suggesting that off screne they were picked up by an escaping geth ship or maybe even Saren. He left right before you did and just before the last time you see Kaiden/Ashley. I wasn't thinking they walked away from a nike, just got wisked away off camera.

"Twists" like that (and i use the word twist in MASSIVE sarcasm quotes) are best saved for lame B class scifi films.

And what in blue hell do you think Mass Effect is based on? B class sci-fi films.
You didn't actually see the VS get vaporized. But since Bioware seems to throw logic out the window whenever they want when it comes to ME, anything they do at this point wouldn't suprise me.

Saren hates humans. Maybe he did a U turn when Shepard wasnt looking picked up the doom person. Or Sovereign swooped in to save the day, As the Reapers had plans to make that human the Reaper leader that shows up in the ME3 finale.

It would be incredibly lame if they brought back the person you left behind on Vimire. Besides the fact that they were practically riding the nuke, it would completely invalidate the decision you made on Virmire. The choice wouldn't matter, since both characters would still be alive in ME3.

Thankfully Bioware has confirmed that the person you leave behind on Virmire is dead and gone for good.

It would be nice if we could reminisce with the VS in ME3. Especially if you pursued a romance with the casualty before Virmire. *COPYPASTA*

(Shepard and Alenko leaned against a wall in Antarctica, a bar on Arcturus Station)
Alenko: Hey, Shepard? Do you think Ash would have acted differently if it was her you met on Horizon?
*A fond look glazed over Shepard's eyes as he reminisced about his old Gunnery Chief*
Shepard: I doubt it, if anything she would have acted worse. She always had a mouth on her, that one. Alliance through and through, too.
*Alenko paused for a few moments before continuing the discussion*
Alenko: Do you still think about her?
*Shepard's smile dropped and he slowly turned to face the ground.*
Shepard: Everyday, Alenko. Every.. day.

It's too bad not many people genuinely liked the character and wanted their Shep to pursue a romance but couldn't save them on Virmire (roleplay, alternate saves, etc.). Mostly it's;

"Oops, I accidentally romanced this character. Ah well, I hate 'em anyways. I'm a gonna kills 'em now!"

That's just sick.
