There is a small chance that whoever you left alive on Virmire is still alive. I believe they are dead only because Bioware said if they died in the first game they are not coming back.

OP - there would be exactly zero chance of Ash/Kaiden surviving next to a 16 kt nuclear bomb. About the only thing you might find of whoever it was you left behind was a shadow burnt into the ground, if that.

And that right there is why you should not resurrect dead characters. It makes death meaningless and starts the whole “well if that person could be resurrected why not this person?” at least bioware made it cost allot. *sigh*

its kaidan, what possible reason could TIM have for bringing him back, see shepard i could see. but kaidan? what does TIM want a persona whining coach? to teach him how to whine better? so he brings back the master?

TIM put a high priority on resurrecting Shep and was willing to pour ridiculous sums of money into the project in order to do it. No one would be willing to commit those kind of resources to resurrecting Ashley or Kaidan, since neither was the first human Spectre, and neither was the only living person to have defeated a Reaper. Also, there is the small problem of not having any remains to resurrect in the first place. They would have been completely atomized.

You missed the point.

There shouldn't be a corpse to resurrect.  Shep is really no more, at all. He is ashes, spread over a planet.  His DNA is gone.

If Jack can prance around anywhere without a shirt in any atmosphere I think Shepherd and her armor can survive reentry.
