I really want to finish my mage playthrough before doing a mage run in DA2 but i hate the FF as i feel very limited while playing (unlike in DA2)

so are there any mods or easy tweaks that can remove FF on all levels?

There sure could be, i don't know of any though sorry, but if you're in a hurry I'd just toss the difficulty to normal or easy for the moment.

There is a mod somewhere on BSN that removes friendly fire damage (from what I understand), but not knockbacks or other effects. You could also play on Easy, which has that feature built-in.
