Name: Cylan Aeducan
Gender/Race/Origin: Male Dwarf Noble
Class: Warrior
Specializations: Champion, Berserker, Guardian
Romances: None. Heterosexual and pragmatic, he slept with Morrigan when she offered and fathered a son with her. His second son.
Disposition: Born into a world of intrigue, Endrin's middle child had a rare mix of compassion and charisma. Proud of his heritage and content to simply further the house's power as a whole, he had no aspirations to lead. Sadly, both his younger AND older brother thought otherwise and Bhelen's betrayal saw him exiled. The ways of the surface were strange to him. Foreign and alien.
Fate of Connor: He allowed Jowan to redeem himself in the fade, slaying the demon, saving Redcliffe, and sparing Isolde.
Anvil of the Void: The Anvil was preserved. Aeducan knew first hand how strained the dwarves were. After his time on the surface, he had no desire to return but would not destroy such a boon for his people.
King of Orzammar: Bhelen. He was surprisingly polite with his younger brother. He saw Bhelen's potential and understood his brother could bring about positive change. The former lord wanted him dead for how his life was stripped from him. But he was no longer a lord of House Aeducan even if he carried the name. He was a Grey Warden and Bhelen was a stronger leader.
Werewolves or Elves: He convinced Zathrian to end the curse...just like seemingly every other Warden ever.
Mages or Templars: It was only while trying to save both Connor and Isolde that he found himself in the tower. Witnessing the power of magic firsthand had a major impact on how he dealt with magic afterword. It was intuition and an oddly well placed trust in Wynne that kept the Rite of Annulment from being invoked. He trusted her judgement that Irving and the others were free of a demon's taint. He also had a feeling the Templars wouldn't care about helping Connor, which meant more death.
Flemeth: It was only after the incident with the circle of magi that he found himself caught in the middle of Morrigan and Flemeth's feud. Only with reluctance did he trek into the wilds. Finding Flemeth there, he killed her.
Sacred Ashes: Trekking high into the mountains, he found his dwarven religion challenged by what seemed to be true godly influence. That was, until Oghren pointed out that there seemed to be massive amounts of Lyrium under the mountain. Still, seeing Trian again shook him, reminded him of the man he once was. Shaking it off, he preserved the ashes, slew a dragon, and shared the news with the world. He would not deny the humans their relic in a dire time.
Unrest in Alienage: He did not understand slavery. In a society as contained as Orzammar, it was unheard of. But he knew oppression when he saw it and freed the elves, killing all the slavers.
Landsmeet Outcome: Alistair was his friend and a trusted ally, one that he hardened to the ways of the world just as he had been. When the Landsmeet was called, he persuaded Alistair and Anora to marry. Loghain's arguments during the Landsmeet did not convince him to stand down, but made him pity the hero of river dane. He was a misguided patriot, nothing more or less. Thinking the joining would kill him anyway, he allowed Loghain to undergo. Ever a pragmatist, he wasn't going to turn down a potential Warden in a time of blight. His relationship with Alistair was never fully repaired after that.
Final Battle: Now, this is where the canon diverges for me. You see, I want to turn down the dark ritual. Even as pragmatic as he is, the former lord Aeducan had seen the dangers of magic firsthand and would not risk there being eight blights - or worse. What keeps me from picking this is the inability to import a world state with an Orlesian warden in Awakening. So, assuming the Keep allows for such things, I'll include my Warden-Commander profile as well! He would not allow Loghain to take the final blow. Why? Well, some questions are best left for history to decide.
Boon/Ending: He was buried beside his father in Orzammar, was honored as a paragon, and the newly crowned monarchs further helped the dwarven people.
Dragon Age: Awakening
Name: Leopold Caron
Gender/Race: Male Human
Class: Dual-Wielding Warrior
Specializations: Reaver, Spirit Warrior, Champion
Disposition: The Grey Lion, as he was called in the court of Empress Celene, was sent to the Arling of Amaranthine as a punishment veiled in a reward. He had overstepped his bounds in the great game and there were even reports of some incident with a dragon cult. Still, he survived the court and was a tenacious fighter. It was with much surprise that he arrived at Vigil's Keep to find it under siege by the Darkspawn. Given a chance to truly prove himself away from the intrigues of Orlais, he proved to be a capable ruler, although there were some who never truly accepted him because of the Orlesian accent to his words.
Fate of Ammaranthine/Vigil's Keep: Leopold worked tirelessly with all people at his disposal to help turn Vigil's Keep into a fortress worthy of flying the Grey Warden banner. When the Keep was besieged by the armies of the Mother, it endured. Knowing that Fereldan would not look kindly upon an Orlesian allowing a city so close to the capitol to burn, he worked to save the city and ultimately this helped smooth over some ill feelings leftover from the Fereldan occupation.
Fate of The Architect: Many of the Orlesian Wardens in the years before the fifth blight had never even seen a Darkspawn. Leopold was one such warden, having been sent to represent the Wardens in the court. When faced with what the Architect offered, he could not turn it down. Naturally, this did not please many of the other wardens.
Joined the Grey Wardens: Leopold turned down no recruits, especially ones as talented as those that joined the order during the trying times brought about by The Mother.
