No. But I like her. :)

She simply irritates me to persist with jthis mirror' s story. I'd like to shake her, slap her sometimes.

And say, " ow, wake up idiot, it's wrong what you do. "

the mirror was actually the one thing merril got most right of all..its obvious the eluvians play a bigger part in the da universe than the one in da2.the witch hunt dlc underlined that most of all.plus the eluvians originate from the ancient time.the keeper was extremely stupid to want it destroyed.and if the death of a clan results in the unsolving of a great ancient mystery the eluvians are then so be it.such risks must be taken at times for revolutionary events to happen.

and yes merril gigllesqued me

Oh I would nom her. But Isabela is a bit possessive and threatens to cut of my balls if I do anything nom realated with or to Merrill... and I really like my balls. So no. Only imaginary squees and noms.

You got Isabela to be possessive?  O_o

I haven't done the Isabela romance but I'm pretty sure she's being protective of Merrill (in a big sister way) not possessive of Hawke.

She is both. At least if you want to take the fact that Merrills romance (just like Anders) destroys everything else as Isabela being possessive and not wanting to share Hawke. Image IPB

I desagree. Image IPB  This research a little depraved, desperate is one of the least defensible points of her character. There is very little consistency in her behavior.

Besides, Merril is very immature, very imprudent, contrary to what she gave as printing in Dao. Her, a future archivist p? It's madness. An archivist is not only someone who has the power and knowledge, and whose mission is to preserve and transmit knowledge and traditions so that the values and elves beliefs never get lost.

An archivist is also someone who takes major decisions, important in a clan. Conflict management with shems, appointment of a place or ask the next camp, when to leave, etc.

Merrill demonstrates no responsibility and need to be completely care always keep an eye on her. I do not see how the archivist has been able to put her choice on it. She did not handle herself, how she could manage others?

In sum, the lack of wisdom and perspective.

Someone closes the advice of others is sometimes someone who has too much self-esteem, "and others are wrong, even the archivist, everyone wrong, I know that this quest worth at any price. "

Too much pride.

I know it's metagame knowledge but I feel the same way about the Eluvian which is why I always help Merrill. They come up too often and a key moments (Dalish Origin, Morrigan and the OGB, Merrill). Argue all you want about who's fault it is and wether or not Merrill is mature/strong enough to handle things, in the end the Keeper should have left with the clan a long time ago.

Oh, they're important, but important in what way?  Given the role the Eluvian played in the Dalish origin, they seem to have something to do with the darkspawn.  They may even be the doorway the darkspawn are using to get into Thedas from elsewhere and there may be a mess of the things somewhere in the Deep Roads.  Or they may be the reason why Arlathan is gone and the elves lost their immortality.

Merrill is certainly not the one I'd trust to get to the heart of this mystery.  It might be the salvation of the Dalish, but it might also be the damnation of far more than that.

So dealing with demons and practicing evil magics makes her lovable? IMO, she's a naive ******.

Indeed! Just like how I believe the companions are a giant step down from the Origins' ones. (Alistair, Shale, Sten)

If you don't want to nom Merrill's head, you're not right in the head.
