I agree with pretty much everything, except I don't want to go without a voiced main character like in DAO and other RPG's. That was my favorite part about DA2, the voiced hero.

I like the idea of selecting what city your character starts off in. I want to see Val Royeaux, Minrathous, Antiva City, etc...and the characters available to you vary based on what city you select (or vice versa). Chevalier, Crow, lots of different starting points, all tied together by an overarching plot or threat (perhaps the conflict that erupted in Kirkwall). Thedas is a big place, let's explore.

On that note, I like the idea of conflicts at the social and personal level, but I don't like them to be presented in an episodic fashion. I think those underlying issues could be integrated more smoothly.

Also, different races. I want to be a Qunari. Keep the DA II redesigns, I like the distinct and vaguely alien looking elves.

I also like the dialogue wheel, but I wonder if it can be expanded? Obviously that would lead to more lines being recorded and may not be feasible. I guess if I had to choose between more varied responses and voiced dialogue I'd go with the former, but grudgingly so.

I like the more dynamic combat animations. Sorry, going back to Origins after DA II just made me wince.

I do think that I should be able to customize what my companions are wearing and fighting with. If I want them to go into battle wearing their silly undergarments I should be allowed to do so!

Speaking of torturing my companions...let me talk to them whenever I want. It's just funner that way.

And bring back Erlina or at least her voice. I miss it from the original DAO.  Too bad we couldn't romance her Image IPB

-I think DA3 should be very adventurous, like traveling throughout Thedas and not being confined to one country or city.
-I think the main antagonist should be Flemeth, and she finally executes what ever the hell has been up her sleeve for the past two games.
-Morrigan should help the protagonist throughout the whole story.
-I think the graphics should be exceptional.
-Let us play as different races.
-Epic boss battles like DA2.

And yea... am I asking too much? lol

OK HERE'S WHAT I'D LIKE
-choice of race (maybe half races too you know like the half elven dreamer kid )
-more realistic combat (no exploding corpses and NO ENDLESS WAVES, yu can keep the mage attack animations though )
-Coerce/traps/poisons crafting options return
-More armors and weapons(more non robes for mages)
-more hair option (why did cropped hair looked like your going bald in DAO and DA2??)
-a story in which you're not basicly a Babysitter
-Possibly a story that happens another 10 years after the end of DA 2 revolving around Morrigan's kid (he would be 19 by then if i'm not mistaken )
-MUCH older returning characters and the possibility to fight and kill Hawke
-the removal of the AWESOME button (or just the options to choose for those of you gamers that think Dragon age should be another version of dynasty warriors )
-better level design/no re-use of maps
-bigger area (not just one city and a mountain )
-NOT BEING LIED TO BEFORE GAME RELEASE ( auto-attack)
and thats mostly it well at least all i can think of right now
anyways i'm pretty sure they'll keep trying to get the COD audience and mess this one up too
HOPEFULLY im wrong

First of all I think the Mage-Templar War should be resolved in an epic DA2 expantion pack based in Orlais and have Hawke's story end there, and as much as I loved my Warden I have to admit his story is also over.

As for DA3 I think it should revolve around Morrigan's child and his/her grand destiny, it would be based in the hole of Thedas not just one city or country.

Major events should include;

1. the war between the Tevinter and the Qunari.
2. finding out whats up with Sandle, 'cos he aint no ordinary dwarf.
3. finding Flemeth and finding out what she is and about her past.
4. somthing to to do with the Grey Warden and the Child's Archdemon/God soul.
5. some huge, world threatening *something* that the Child has to stop which will decide the fate of Thedas.

Also in the begining of the game it would be explained about the Child's farther, read below;

1. If you did the ritual with your Warden and he went with Morrigan through the mirror it would be explained that he had sercum to the taint a few years before the begining of the game began.

2. If you did the ritual with your Warden and he didn't go with Morrigan or atempted to kill her or did the ritual with Alister or Loghain the it would be explained why the farther isn't around for which ever of the 3 reasons.

3. If you didn't do the ritual it would be explained that Morrigan did the ritual in secret with Riodan but because she was to far away from Denerim when the Archdemon was slayed it passed through the Warden, Alistair or Loghain first before it reached the Child.

I think this would make a great game if it is done right and BioWare take their time making it.

I think hoping that we'll see our grey warden is quite doubtful, simply because i'm sure it would work from graphics side, and what what if someone hasn't played DAO, then he would have no character to import. I might be wrong tho...

As for creation of character, skills and equipment:
I hope we'll be able to choose race, and what follows have a unique intro, just like in DAO, i think it just makes you want to play more than once. Having a qunari race would be great! For skills i didnt really mind the skill tree in DA2, but for a sequel I found it quite... basic, I hope the choice will be much wider in DA3. And equipment: Being able to equip companions is a MUST! Without it having skills for companions just seems pointless. Id also like to find more, different armor, not just that tho, find more of everything that is not classified as junk as soon as put it in my inventory. Give me a choice, maybe have characters who will pay me gold for particular kind of things... Or, let the rouges have an ability to make things from junk, like traps or gifts or piece of armor.

As for the story:
I am really, really hoping that the story will not be linear like in DA2. Let the world/city bear with consequences of my actions. Id like to see different endings, bring justice or lead to misery and disaster, let the companions hate me or like me depending on my choices and let the romance be based on that, it seem weird to love some someone that you actually hate like in DA2. And also i wish to see some continuity, let the story have some sense, reveal the secrets, the truth behind Morrigans actions, Flemenths secrets, find out what the Keeper and Leilana have in plans, why Grey Warden and Hawke dissappeard, etc. There are so many unanswered questions that introducing many new characters and plots would just make things very complicated.

And finally as for characters:
There are few that I think seeing in DA3 is just necessary. Morrigan and Fementh- in order to find out the truth. Alistar, I hope to see him as companion in DA3, (searching for Grey Warden and Hawke? It would seem strange that he just let go of Grey Warden, since in my gameplay they were in relationship). Id like to see Sten again, just to see how he is doing. I also grew quite fond of Varric. Beside those characters, there isn't anyone in particular Id like to see, especially not from DA2, Merril is the worst imaginable companion for me, and Anders is a walking misunderstanding of masculinity, so no, I hope I won't have to see them again. In DA3, I simply would like to see interesting characters with whom you'll be able to actually have a conversation instead of 'good/bad/idiot wheel' once every 10 hours of gameplay.

So this im hoping to see in Dragon Age 3, i dont feel its something extreme and surprising, I think most of rpg players are looking for very similar things in DA3, therefore I hope Bioware will make a proper RPG this time. Nevertheless i will not make the mistake of pre-ordering the game again.

In terms of story line i want to see something like a search for the Warden and/or Hawke and in the process resolve the remaining loose ends like Flemeth, Sandal and the mage war, etc. I'll be honest, I did not completely hate DA II story, but I agree it was lacking in certain departments. DA III needs to be the most epic one, finish with a bang. I want to see a LOTR quest set in this world.

A new character is a must. This time with multiple races (would love to be a Qunari!!). And they need to be voiced. All voiced differently for every race you can become. I really feel a voiced player character adds so much more to the experience. The wheel as well needs to return.

Some companions could and/or should return to link with the previous to games. Morrigan comes to mind certainly. Love interests should also participate in searches of respective characters from previous installments.

Some non companion characters should as well find their way into the game. The whole architect thing from awakening needs to be explored further as well. He should make an appearance. Have something where we explore his origins.

But what I would love to see is being able to recruit the warden and/or Hawke in my party. Or making me choose between who I side with at some point in the game. This will probably not happen but I can only hope.

For gameplay, I know many of you guys played DA II on PC, but I played on PS3 and the fast pace battles were kind of satisfying. I would like to have the auto attack though, it was a little annoying to have to be doing all these quick lightning attacks and having to press X all the time. A hybrid style of Origins and II would be great, without it turning into an auto button....here's looking at you FF13!!!

Art direction wise, DA II was on a right track in my opinion, but got stale because of the single setting of Kirkwall. I got tired of seeing the same type of buildings every time  By expanding the world thought this should fix itself, by exploring many different cultures of the world wil give it variety.

These are just some of the changes i think will help out for the 3rd game. I wont critize dev time because we are living in an industry that demands quick time frames. And it is needed as soon as possible because all the major consoles are neering the end of there hardware capabilities, and next gen consoles are on their way, and to legitimize the save files from previous games they need to come out for these consoles.

Here's my idea:

it's been one year since and the war between the mages and templars have escalated. Neither one will step down until the other is abolished.

The Archdemon senses this chaos and seizes the opportunity to start the sixth and hopefully the final Blight in Thedas.

The game start with Cassandra Pentaghast, looking for the Warden and the Champion to help stop the war between mages and templars just in time to stop the arch demon. Since Leliana is there and Varric, these two would be her first companions.

Once they're found, the main characters now shift between the Warden and the Champion, depending on your mission. If the Champion and Warden romanced a companion, they will be quickly part of the companion.

Part of your mission is to recruit all of your companions from the origins and dragon age 2. Your missions are to stop the war between the mages and templars, rebuild the chantry and finally end the Blight.

Plus with Dragon Age 3, this game will finally answer a lot of questions:

1. why did the champion and warden disappear at the same time? what was the reason?

2. Who is Flemeth or what is Flemeth. She is no mage, abominations, nor a person, so what is she?

3. The child Morrigan had with the warden. Morrigan said the child will be a part that will shape the destiny of the world

4. Who is Sandal? Bodhan found him in the Deep Roads and no one knows his past.

hopefuly part of the ending, if you romanced a companion and you're still alive - a wedding.

That's all

Few things that I think DA3 needs to have/do. All of this is my personal opinion.

1. A new protagonist. I like how the series is about the world and not centered around any certain character. To clarify I like Hawke but I think the next game should be in a new setting with a new main character. Bring back old characters, maybe even Hawke as well, from the first two games to help tie it into the series. Also think it should continue this mage-Chantry war storyline but that’s a decision best left to the pros.

2. Refine combat and visual art style. DA:O was too slow, bland, and tedious. DA2 was too fast and over the top. I believe there is a middle ground to be had here. Something nicely paced and unique looking while also being grounded in reality. And for the love of God stop making Elves look so weird. Just rip LotR off already and stop trying to make “unique” Elves when your really just making odd looking anorexic and short Humans with pointy ears. And also go back to the old darkspawn design.

3. More work on the environments. At least don't repeat the same maps dozens of times over.

4. A continued focus on the squadmates similar to what the first two games have exhibited.

5. Improved graphics. I usually don't really care about the graphics and this isn't a top priority, but comparing DA2 to other similar games it is behind the curve on all platforms.

6. No more cliffhanger endings please. I hate not getting closure out of a story, especially 40-60 hour ones. At least bring back the epilogue slides.

7. Less fan service. Forced cameos, everyone being bi, etc. Found it a little curious why a large number of characters from Origins just so happened to find their way to DA2 without any real involvement in the story. Tell the story you want to tell the way you want to tell it writing team and don't let yourself be confined by the whims of every sect of fans out there. If it makes the overall game better they'll thank you in the end.

Dragon Age 3: The abomination
You and your party travel around ending the mage/templar war. You can crack jokes about your party members that are still stuck inside a dead body and haven't upgraded to a live possessed Templar or even better a live Mage body. You even have one party member stuck in a cat body.
