I would love it if Adepts lost access to heavy weapons in order to gain a ridiculous biotic attack.  Maybe on a seperate cooldown, and an extremely long one.

As would i, though such a biotic ability would have to genuinely be equivalent in power rather than toned down to make up for lack of ammo or something - then it would just be rubbish. We had enough of that stuff with ME2's singularity. Sure, it was meant to work mainly in combination with the rest of the powers, but it doesn't stop it feeling a little limp in comparison to stuff like the Vanguard's Charge.

That said, I'm looking forward to the Adept's Jack-style biotic mega-melee.

Yeah, the special melee moves sound interesting.  Though I would have prefered a fist of doom, punch knock through walls thing for the adept than a area stagger which is sounds like they are getting.

^Yeah, biotic punch like Jack cutscene would be my choice.

From what the gameinformer article said, it sounds like all Melee attacks are instakillers. I don't recall anyone mentioning area staggers (and frankly, I really hope we don't get that - we've got enough of that stuff)

honestly i'd rather have ME1 style grenades than heavy weapons. i VERY RARELY used heavy weapons at all in ME2.

But area staggers are good for Cross class Combos!!!!!!!

IT will be interesting to see how they take the weapons in the next ME game.  So much will depend on how they wish to handle everything.

It would be cool if there was some kind of effect you can trigger using guns that can be exploited by powers. In ME2 it's only the other way around - ragdoll (weapon) damage bonus.

Adept - Assault Rifle + Shotgun
Vanguard - Assault Rifle + Shotgun + Heavy Pistol
Sentinel - Assault Rifle + Sniper Rifle

I'm actually curious as to whether the 'extra slot' (some) classes can pick up on the Collector Ship might carry over as a kind of 'added bonus' for imported characters.

Otherwise, my Sentinel will have an AR and a Shotgun. If I can get a third slot I would add a Heavy Pistol or SMG to that.

do you guys think maybe the pistol is mandatory? like for cutscene purposes?

like everyone starts with the pistol by default and classes can pick weapons aside from that?

like the adept could pick one other gun, the engineer and sentinal as well.

the vanguard and infiltrator can pick two other weapons and the soldier could pick everything?

Not sure, but it didn't stop them from having my Shepard's who couldn't use ARs using Avengers in the previous two games.

My main Shepard (a Sentinel) will roll with a heavy pistol and assault rifle most likely. My Vanguard meanwhile doesn't need anything other than her special shotty. <3

Gah I love that weapon customisation is coming back in a big way.

OH SWEET MOSES NO!!!! No bloody DA2-esque cross class combos - at least none that totally replace player power combos.....

Unless they're going to overpower the pistol to ME1/Halo 1 levels, I'd guess it will - otherwise no-one is going to bother with heavy pistols if they can freely choose.

To be honest I like having my trusty handcannon, so I'm probably going to roll an AR and pistol for my Adept.
