Okay, just did Tali's LM. Squad was Tali (Hack 3) & Garrus (Area Overload).

Holy crap. Unbelievable run. Hack 1 is a monster against Geth, because they naturally have very aggressive AIs. I'm digging this build so much I think I'm gonna do a 2nd NG+ playthrough with it from the beginning w/ no upgrades.

If you want real fun, do Tali and Legion's LM with Tali, Legion, and Shepard - all built around AI hacking and squad disruptor.

Needless to say, the geth didn't have much of a chance.

The only build suggestion I would really emphasize is taking Dominate to rank 4 (Enhanced). It's the only way you'll get maximum utility out of it (b/c non-Blood Pack organics tend to be way less aggressive than synthetic enemies). Otherwise, I'm eager to hear how it does!

That's the part I'm noticing. Even rank 3 does not last long enough in the beginning. I had to start a new infiltrator, considering I don't want to cheat and I didn't have one with shotguns. Only got through 3 missions last night.

I loved dominating the heavies that sit behind cover and spam rockets at you. Normally I really hate those guys.

But dominating charging krogan with rank 3? Not really worth it.

Infiltraitor class is my personal favorite, Wrex and tali are the two I recommend if you want to dominate from the get go, The combination with these two are exellent as an infiltraitor class.  Plus you cant go wrong with liara either, My opinion of course..

Any suggestions as playing as a sentinal, Drop me a line. Gettin ready  to do a play through on insanity again and want to get my level sixty character this time around any suggestions on achieving that holla!!Image IPB

At Horizon with Dominate rank 4 now. It ranges from being insanely overpowered to pretty much useless. You certainly have to learn how to spot where it will do damage and where it'll just waste your time.

On Bekenstein, I Dominated one guy on the back of a truck. That was my best one so far because apparently there was a heavy behind them who managed to spam the truck with rockets.

On the other hand, Dominate some guy with a shotgun and he won't die because of the barrier you gave him, and his shotgun doesn't quite have the range he seems to think. Even worse, some of these guys seem to want to run up to you because they're on your team. Not good.

That is the biggest issue I had with dominate.
God that was annoying.  I wanted a suicide charge instead he came to my side of the fence and when it wear off is on my side of the cover.  When it does work though, it works well.  Grab a guy really far down wind and he is flanking the bad guys, and dominated/hacked people seem to have a higher target priority.

Yeah, there is definitely a learning curve for using Dominate (unlike AI Hack, which is exactly what it says on the tin). Synthetic enemy AI is very aggressive, so when you Hack them, they go berserk and rush down any enemy within LOS. Organic enemy AI plays more like squadmate AI (ugh), often taking cover next to you or just standing around blankly.

You want to dominate the following organics: Pyros, Heavies, Collector Assassins, Blue Suns Commanders, or any standard trooper with an AR (not a pistol or shotgun!). You do not want to dominate any organic who can regen protections (Legionnaire, Centurion, Vanguard, Engineer). Krogan Berserkers are a toss-up. Sometimes it's good to Dominate them b/c their AIs are also aggressive and they turn into high-priority targets. However, they can regen health, so you may just want to let your squad Cryo them and call it a day. Positioning, as you noticed, is also important. You always want to Dominate the enemy furthest back.

Dominate the right foe, though, and like you say, it's very op. For ME3, I wouldn't mind if Dominate still has the start-up stun animation, as long as it makes the Dominated enemy go berserk and rush down his allies like AI Hack in ME1. That's why AI Hack 1 is actually comparable to Dominate 4, just because Hacked synthetics immediately turn into kamikaze fighters.

Actually not all synthetics are highly aggressive, ie the typical geth trooper will often retreat and get on your side like your problem organics. Now you Loki, and Ymirs style mechs are highly aggressive, and the Geth Destroyers are beautiful to hack, but always be very careful of the standard Geth trooper.

I just wish dominate lasted longer after the fall down, it is a shame you "lose" half the dominated time to the enemy falling down, which in my experience means they aren't drawing attention or otherwise being helpful to my cause.

They do indeed not draw attention in the fall-down part of it.

Anyway I used Dominate 4 throughout Horizon. Mainly good results. I don't really have much of a problem on Horizon these days, but I noticed parts of it were smoother than ever before.

The build definitely has a lot of potential. Unfortunately I'm also quite fond of sniping and sometimes end up just doing that half the time.

termo - Yeah, I noticed that once I had Shotgun Extra Rounds, I almost never brought out the sniper except against YMIRs and Scions.

Doing a 2nd run, exact same build, but this time with Neural Shock instead of Dominate. I'm torn though. I can't decide if I want Incineration Blast/NS 2 (rank 2 is when accuracy is permanently impaired), or Incineration 2, Neural Shockwave. I ran the Neural Shockwave build to start, but the more I think about it, the more I'm leaning towards Incineration Blast.

I love the one-shot sniper gameplay and really miss that here. Sadly the Mantis doesn't cut it, and no matter how hard I try I can't seem to like the Viper. Takes too many headshots to kill people, and you have to adjust for recoil and enemies moving in sometimes unpredictable ways while you're shooting them. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but for my playstyle the Widow is just a much better option.

I tried the Cloak + GPS trick by the way, and that works far too well. I'm using the Eviscerator just to have some challenge left. But yes shotguns are also fun with Cloak.

Don't think I'll ever want an infiltrator with assault rifles though.

The Viper is crazy good against tanks who don't take cover (Scions and YMIRs), but loses something against standard mooks. To be honest, I've started using the Phalanx as my sniper rifle lately so the time dilation won't mess with powers.

Cryo Ammo is freaking awesome though. I just did Mordin's RM on a new playthrough, and that section was noticeably easier with Squad Cryo than Squad Incendiary.

My fav build is
1 - Disruptor
4 - Heavy Incinerate
4 - Improved Hack
4 - Enhanced Dominate
4 - Assassin
4- Assassination Cloak

I just use the squad for Ammo powers. I don't mind losing the Disruptor or Cryo.
