There is really only two ways to handle it.  Either the romance ends with her death or begins with it.

Either Hawke saves her or loses her.  I would probably have him save her, but its your story.

She has died in all my playthroughs.. lol.  Well she does get kicked out of the order.  She might look to Hawke for support since he did defend her to the Grand Cleric.

I've considered doing that in my canon playthrough for a Hawke who decided to oppose the qunari because of the saarebas thing; she was genuinely worried that the templars might start taking tips from the qunari there.

I might have supported her, but the assassination of Saemus Dumar was well over a line for me.

After finding him, my Hawke would probably have tossed a knife at Petrice before she got three words of her speech out.

I'd have to say... that I agree. Sadly. Of all the romances, Isabella was the only one where I didn't find myself saying "what the f*ck, man." Most of my romances ended with my Hawke breaking it off out of frustration.
I never left Isabella because I found it refreshing that her point of view was the only one that wasn't completely polarizing.
I left Anders because, well goddamn, you can only forgive so many times.
Fenris was left because I started to get really sick of his continual obsession with the mages and how dangerous magic was. Even though my Hawke was going for the templars, I got fed up with him being such an ass.
Merrill... well, I really liked the Dalish Clan. I played a dalish warden. Explanatory.
And I couldn't stand Sebastian's face. Something about his eyes really freaked me out.

Guardsman Donnic was a lucky man imho :\\ as is Bianca a lucky crossbow.

Nice to know I am not alone.

... Donnic is lucky Hawke doesn't screw that up.  I have heard from some that Hawke can throw a wrench into that but I have no experience myself.

Well, as far as I know, the most you can do is steal a kiss from Aveline. But that's not very satisfying, as Hawke then acts completely shocked and apalled as if Aveline just told him/her that she was actually screwing Isabella. That's an interesting thought to consider though... I'll have to look that up and see what happens.
