Awww, now you made me sad.
Dude, I remember being really little and sitting on Dad's knee, watching him play Star Wars: X-Wing. Good times.Saphara wrote...

Could be, but then again my country's reality has nothing to do with yours and perhaps that's the difference...
Of course now there are a lot of youger female players now here too...
Take this for example I played counter strike a lot back then, also some cod which we can admit they are more male oriented than ME,and in American servers I met alot of female players in both games...and competitive...in my countries server....1 or 2 most....
so may be I am being a bit short sighted but well it's what I see here
he's got a valid point. a large portion of female gamers only really play casual games. thats not even sexist to say, its just a fact is all. your preference in games is completely subjective. me saying mass effect is better than assassins creed is my opinion, its subjective. its not wrong or right.AdmiralCheez wrote...

My female friend: Enjoys the series.
My other female friend: Also enjoy the series.
Yet another female friend: Likes what she sees and will probably play it shortly.
My ex-girlfriend: Huge BioWare fan. Loves the series.
My current girlfriend: Bigger fan of the series than I am.
I'm sure you'd love to see all women playing you ---- but back to the point, the 'big picture' you speak of seems not so shabby to me. I think there are a lot more women enjoying the series than you realize, even if, yes, there are certainly fewer than there are males. And yes, a huge reason for that is the marketing campaign.

if theres money to be made, you bet they'd be advertising to women more. trust me. they wouldnt pidgeonhole women into a category if it was practical to market their product to a specific audience.Saphara wrote...

I personally owuld like to see how these studies are done. For all we know, they might just be pidgonholing women into a catagory and not giving a chance.

Just be patient, and don't worry that there are no gamer girls in your area.jakal66 wrote...
well one of the things I love about this forum is to see how many women love and in a way live this game, I may be older but I do want this stigma to banish forever...nothing would make me happier than to see more and more women in this life that I certainly love and am addicted to

ive seen studies (not relating to this) but other marketing studies, and they are crazy with what they test and see what works. i'd be surprised if they didnt toy with ideas for marketing it more towards women. the only issue with that is you lose the focus of the larger male market thats probably the reason.

Honestly, I really don't care that Bioware doesn't market femshep that much. I'm just happy to have the option to play a woman for once.
