I was on Kotaku looking at the "Amazing Easter Egg" I admit my inner Zelda nerd knew it. My most favorite series in video game ever.

What are some of your games that have amazing music?

Legend of Zelda - John Williams
Best them song ever to a game.

Boss fight - The Witcher
The beginning makes me wanna destroy which ever boss im fighting!

Mass Effect 2 Arrival
Reminds me of Mass Effect 1.

Lair of the Shadow Broker
I don't know if it was because I had watch Inception that day but the combat music always makes me think of Inception.

Mario Galaxy 2
No one can possibly hate this if you do your not human

katamari Damacy
I don't care what anyone says it's catchy and full of win

Final Fantasy VII One Winged Angel (Eminence Symphony)
Don't have to like Final Fantasy but this sounds amazing.

Just for kicks Cuh-Chu Rocket Commercial

The music for Simon's Quest is a marvel for the tech available on the NES at the time.

"What a terrible night to have a curse."

The beginning has always sounded like a power metal riff to me and I like it. :wizard:

Anoter NES song: Solstice - This one is more like progressive rock.

I really liked the background music in the Blooming Rose in DA2, when you fought inside the establishment. (There's only one fight to be had there, as far as I know, so you don't have many opportunities to hear this.)

I could only find the "regular" background music at the Blooming Rose on YouTube though. :( While it's good too, the fighting music is much better.

Baldur's Gate II still had some of my favorite epic music ever.

Here's the Marching Mountains theme

And when you got into a battle at the Marching Mountains: The Marching Mountains Battle Music

Another great one was the Amkethran Theme (From the Throne of Bhaal expansion)

Man, BG2 had an outstanding soundtrack. Makes me want to play it again. :wizard:

First thing I usually do is turn of the music, there were a handful of exceptions, Shadow of the Colossus was one of the few where the composer had talent. ME3 soundtrack might be a treat as well.

Icewind Dale is probably the best game score Jeremy Soule has made.

I actually have Outcast but can't get it to work on my computer. A shame really, good thing though that you can copy the songs from the CD.

Yeah a lot of old games are a freaking pain to make work on modern PCs :( Had to spend at least 2 hours to make BG2 working and then I eventually found out on the net that you actually have to make the game use both cores of my processor. But games like X-Com Apocalypse simply refuse to work.

Meh, I gave up on DosBox myself eventually. Love that song, reminds me so much about Stargate SG-1. Actually the whole game does.

A couple more:

Unreal Tournament - Brings back so many LAN memories and the world's most rage-generating end boss.

And I forgot this one, Jazz Jackrabbit 2 - Medieval Jam

There's a bit in the song that reminds me of Fancy

I liked that one, there was a general German synthpop vibe about it, not just Fancy.
