According to the back of the box ME is about stopping galactic extinction and a merciless enemy if I remember correctly. Mine could have been an anomaly though because alot of people seem to have got the version thats entirely about starting a family or humping your way across the stars.

This. There are a number of canon reasons why we won't see kids as a result of romances (Not sure what FemShep's deal is. Maybe she's just BARREN, or not canon. OH SNAP. trollface.jpg)

Asari have children in the matron stage. Liara is around a hundred to a hundred and fifty years too young for that. While it is pointed out that they can advance early due to frequent melding, I think that a one hundred year advancement is a bit much (I think it's give or take fifty years?). Don't forget that Liara's a little busy being the Shadow Broker to shag all the time.

Miranda's genetic alterations seem to have caused her to be unable to bear children.

Don't even get me started on Tali.

Haven't seen Ash's reasons yet. Might be revealed in ME3. Someone will have to help me with this one. She's dead in all my playthroughs. :/

Not to burst your cute little bubble, but it's been indirectly spelled out that we won't be seeing children. I personally am neutral about it, so don't throw me in with any lots.

I'm not against this as long as something else is implemented for other LIs. Like thane getting better and leading a much more fulfilling life. Or ashley having a family get together with shep, assuming they survive. Tali could be... Her face. Garrus could be ... Let me get back to you on that. Jacob... Not sure, jack and miranda also not sure.
