Wandering the Fugue...

Hey all,
My death system includes the character going to the Fugue Plane.  While there, I would like for them to be able to walk around and have conversations (as there are a number of interesting NPCs for them to meet.)  I initially applied a permanent supernatural EffectDazed to them, because according to the Lexicon it would stop them from casting spells, attacking, and using items.  After playtesting, I see that they can still use items, and can do some other actions (like drop and pickup items.)

Does anyone know of any applicable effects/tricks/methods that could help cover the gaps?
