IIRC, you don't need Kelemvor as a deity to take Doomguide. I believe it's changed when you take the first level in the class. I never play that class, so I'm not 100% sure, but that's how I think it works.

If i was to have any reservation for the storytelling, it would be that all my companions just seem to fall into my path and desperately want to follow/take commands from me, sometimes it just doesnt feel right for their character, or the reason isnt good enough, but im trying to ignore this.

This is admittedly kind of annoying, though it's relatively true of many such games. I know this is a spoilers forum, but I don't know if you've gotten a certain companion yet so I won't go into details, but this particular fellow is incredibly dispassionate and seems to care very little for you or your cause. Since I didn't like him very much either, I could figure out why the game wouldn't simply let me be done with him once his plot section was over. I mean, we pretty much hated each other, so why would he follow me around like that?

Well Doomguide isnt available to me, i dont know if i can cast lvl3 divine, but im a cleric so i guess i should be able to! So it looks like deity is the only thing stopping me from taking it :(

Re: Fred
If your referring to Bishop, yep he is with me, and i agree it seems odd he wants to come along, although some vague attempt that he wants to share in the riches i loot seems to be suggested.

I actually really want to play through the campaign again, but acting utterly utterly evil/heartless as i can possibly be, and still see if it makes my companions love me regardless...

Requirements for Doomguide:

Alignment: Any Lawful
Feats: Extra Turning, Great Fortitude
Skills: Diplomacy 5 Ranks
Spellcasting: Able to cast 3rd-level Divine spells

Do you have at least 13 natural Wisdom and at least 5 Cleric levels? If so, if you are lawful and have the feats and skills, you should be able to take it.

Well, and the obvious question: do you have SoZ?

I think it likely that because the unmodified OC does not allow you to create more than one character and the companions cannot change classes, the decision was made to have a companion of each of the different classes made available to the player (only Barbarian is not represented). That way the player gets some experience playing each of the classes and the work that went into the development of each of the classes is used in the OC. A symptom of ego-centric development (first develop "cool" feature, then force the player to use it).

Regards
