Picked Spirit healer as the first as i was going to play without wynne and group heal is a good way to avoid too much loading.  Deciding on 2nd Specialty class and i found Wades Superior Dragon Skin armor can actually make spells cheaper.  And now im thinking AW might be better than BM for my first mage.

Wades superior dragon skin armor gives Arcane warriors a 12.5 percent discount on spells cast.  Thats an extra 5-9 mana saved per spell depending on what you cast.  I know, i now why AW/SH when you can go BM/SH and just get reaper vestments.   But really, is this a good enough bonus to NOT choose BM?  I realize that for AW to work for you, you need to make use of the tier 7 armor sets.  But it also means that you lose the ability to use those gauntlets that boost spell damage.  i.e. cinderfell gauntlets +20% fire damage.

Searched the forums and everyone went for the 60+ armor arcane warrior that had like 85% fatigue on him.   And hacked away with sword and board.  But im thinking a lighter build, and still be dedicated caster can work.  Especially with this suit of armor. heck with flaming weapons, rock armor and spell might that still adds up to something like a 2% fatigue penalty.  That mode does tie down a lot of mana but gives you 27 armor.  Almost a tank at my current level(14), but enough i think to ensure better durability and still be a caster.

Any tips?B)

Heh i wish i had some good light armour like that...
But with 50 armour i take like only 3-5 damage each physical hit - and with health regen i get that back anyway.
And i can't get rid of my stormchaser mail =)
