I'm bored and I don't feel like playing neither Mass Effect 1 nor 2. Since Portal 2 is broken and there's still no fix from Valve, I'm asking for you guys to recommended me some older shooter.
But if it's NOT:

  • Call of Duty( played all of them on PC)
  • Halo( boring)
  • Bioshock( played both of them)
  • any Valve game
  • multiplayer focused( want to have fun with long Singleplayer)
  • Max Payne( played both of them too many times)
  • Gears of War( Mass Effect ruined those games for me)
  • Deus Ex( played both of them)
  • Painkiller "style" games( I get easily bored with those games)
  • Fallout( played 3 and New Vegas)

GAMES I FORGET TO ADD:
  • Bordelands( played, didn't quite enjoy it)
  • Godfather( played both)
  • Mafia( played both)
  • Stalker( played one of them, got bored)
  • Star Wars shooters( played most of them)
  • Rainbow Six Vegas( played)
  • Metro 2033(played)
  • System Shock( don't like horror games, big wuss)
  • Crysis( played all)
  • Farcry( played both)
  • Quake( played only 4th one, I think I should play it again:?)
  • Bulletstorm( played it)
  • No One Lives Forever( played all of them)
  • Medal of Honor( from Allied Assault to 2010 one)

I enjoyed Stalker. Go for Shadow of Chernobyl, though: Call of Pripyat was really just reinventing the wheel and was full of bugs.

I recently played System Shock 2, and thought it was enjoyable. SS2 has a reputation for being scary too, although I didn't really find it scary. If you liked BioShock, you might like SS2.

I'm sensing that Mesina has played a lot of shooters.

Ok how about Vanquish?

I second JRCHOharry's suggestiong of Rainbow Six Vegas. Though I found the sequel to be a bit buggy.

How about Metro 2033? I haven't played much of it but from what I did play it seemed quite good.

Crysis 2. (I didn't particularly care for the first though)

The only other ones I could reccomend weren't on PC, like The Darkness. :-/

I like playing Unreal Tournament when I have the need to just mindlessly shoot things.

That's not a shooter.

It's not much of a game either! *rimshot*

It's hard to think of PC only, relatively recent shooters that you haven't listed above...

The F.E.A.R. Series?
Chronicles of Riddick?

Err...well, if you're fond of some thrills and shooting aliens, I'd suggest Half Life.

Also, maybe Quake 3 is something for you?

Edit: oops, saw you already have experience with the Quake series. Nevermind then. I'd still recommend it, though.

It's a 2004 shooter, but that doesn't make it any less brilliant.

The Timesplitters series is fairly multiplayer focused, but the campaign and challenge modes are still pretty fun.

While not exactly a shooter, the Metroid Prime series is excellent as well. Still, it's closer to being a shooter than fallout. On the other hand, I'm guessing that if you owned any nintendo hardware you would already own it.

Stalker. Seriously one of the best shooters every it's not solely a shooter.
or
Arma II.

And how can anyone like Crysis 2 over Crysis 1?!$#!

It's sad. You say recommend me a shooter and I see Fallout 3 and NV. Why couldn't they be more rpg.

Bulletstorm was enjoyable.
