No idea if they were mentioned, but I enjoyed both Dead Space titles. Sure, they are survival horror shooters, but DS2 was very well done. The MP part isn't that great, to be honest, but the single player campain is fun. Maybe they'll pop up during the EA week on steam.

Battlefield Bad Company 2
Unreal Tournament 3
Alpha Protocol (While technically an RPG-shooter, it's a pretty fun game with a fairly open ending [don't believe everything you read about it]. Good weapon mods, the ladies are a pleasant distraction, and gunplay is above average. It is a little Mass Effect-ish though, so it may not be your thing.
Quake 4 (Definitely replay. A great game. I've got about 7 playthroughs on it-and it's still fun after 5 years).
You probably wouldn't be interested, but if you have an XBOX 360 or PS3, play Army of Two and AO2, The 40th Day for mindless TPS, cover-based, ass-kickers. The AA-12 shotgun in 40th Day is worth the price of admission alone.
Anyway, just a few suggestions.
Peace.

I haven't played Stalker, but Shadow of Chernobyl was a good title.vometia wrote...
I enjoyed Stalker. Go for Shadow of Chernobyl, though: Call of Pripyat was really just reinventing the wheel and was full of bugs.

Ahem.. anyway, I'll risk suggesting: Singularity
I know some people thought it was horrible but I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. Give it a try.

Depends on your ending I suppose, lol. I actually liked mine! Think there were three - well, more or less.

All 3 sucked hard.
4th one isn't even an ending since you have to reload save.
