Seriously, one dude gives you a weak "it's being delayed because of an I-phone port" excuse (how do you port a PC/360/PS3 game into I-phone without MAKING A WHOLE NEW GAME anyway?) and you buy it? And then start getting annoyed? Really, guys?
Proof, people have the right to be angry or annoyed.
How exaclty does this 'prove' that the delay is based around a portable version of the game? Oh wait, the forumites have once again leapt to distant conclusions.

Sorry but that isn't proof.
It says there will be a game, it says nothing about ME3 being delayed for said game. Even if it is it would probably be just like DAO was delayed for simultenous release on the consoles. BTW that ended up with us getting the toolset at launch instead of later/never so stuff will get polished.
Also the same teams don't work on PC/Console games vs handheld games. You do not have a right to spread false information

Um, what? It doesn't say anywhere in that article that ME 3 was delayed because of a portable version.

The schedule shows that a mobile/handheld version of each game will be available during the same launch months as the retail versions.
wow what a coincidence....
I'm pretty sure that doesn't say 'ME3 has been delayed to ensure the same release date', only that a handheld version will be released at the same time.
I'm not denying the existence of the handheld version, only that there is no 'proof' the delay is due to it.

It can be the time delayed is the time needed to have that version ready for multiple platform release.
And sorry, Isn't EA responsible for release dates....?

I agree, there is no "proof" but people are getting suspicious after all the DA2 trouble in the last months. I really hope this is not the real reason behind the delay...

Well listen believe what you want...I still think it's one hell of a coincidence---
You're welcome to believe what you want to. Yes, it is a bit of a coincidence and you may very well be right, but spreading it as 'fact' and getting the forums angry at Bioware won't help anyone.
Besides, I'm waiting until Bioware themselves confirm the existence of this handheld game. I'm not really convinced about the Battlefield 3 one either, but if it is EA that list came from then I guess its true.
And as for EA deciding release dates: they probably do, but I'd imagine they'd want ME3 - a hyped up AAA title - to be out for the Christmas period. Unless they don't want anything interfering with Battlefield, but that seems a little bit off many eggs going in one basket. I think EA will give Bioware leeway if they want more time.

Edit: And whatever the reason for the delay it does not changed the fact that the ME team will be working on the game longer and have more time for polish.

Sorry if I sounded agressive with the believe thing...but I never stated it was a FACT it's what I strongly believe happened knowing how EA works...but I never said I was the beholder of BIOs news true stories...

Well, OK....so what? It's not like the main ME3 team will be doing this. It'll be outsourced to another EA group or a contractor, and ME3 for 360/PS3/PC still gets extra dev time. I.e., even if the mobile version is responsible, it's doing you a favor.

Wait, really? Hmm, I guess the handheld is real then. Dang, I'm realy rather curious now.
And I didn't want to come across as rude, I'm just tired and it seemed like half the forum was about to gang up on Bioware because they thought the delay was due to this handheld game.

I'd accept the old polishing excuse, but a mobile port is what delaying the game? Weak.
Again: so? Bioware almost certainly is not developing it themselves. Thus, they still have extra time to work on the game they are developing themselves.

The only way this release could be caused by the handheld is because they might want a simultenous release. That's the only way.
The two teams might as well be seperated by a wrought iron fence made out of tigers.

I sorta wrote something similar in a prev post...so I agree. The question is...would this game have been delayed without the handheld's existance?didymos1120 wrote...
