I understand the fears as some didn't like the changes but I did and didn't see it as dumbed down at all. From what I have seen the finale will be nothing short of epic.Therefore_I_Am wrote...

I've been gaming since the orriginal Attari so no. And EA is far from the Devil of gaming companies. They aren't in charge of the develpoment of the game Bioware is and they didn't screw up ME 2 so I have no worries.Therefore_I_Am wrote...

This made you angry? They are going to be tweaking the gameplay to make it better if anything this is good news.ShadowSoldier89 wrote...
well, I was quite ok with the delay until I read this
http://www.joystiq.c...ger-market-opp/
after DA2, I dont think I couldve read anything about ME2 thatd make me quite as angry as those words
HAAWWW you're new to the gaming business aren't you? EA is the Ave Satani of gaming companies....
edit: unless you were being sarcastic...
Considering you're subjective view on ME2 (and that's your opinion) alot of people here would like more stuff added to it rather than seeing it unchanged or even... i'm gonna say it...... dumbed down. I just hope that Casey sticks to his guns about the gameplay, but right now all I can picture is this John Riccitiello character growing horns, and flames erupting everywhere, as he said all that.

Lessons learned from ME2: release against no real competition. Win assloads of GOTY.Mesina2 wrote...
Also this means that Mass Effect 3 will have less real competition for GOTY rewards.

So Red Dead Redemption, God of War 3 and StarCraft 2 are not competition?
Huh.

Read story on Joystiq about WHY it's been delayed
Second Reaction - WTF they are delaying it to dumbing it down even more for the COD shooter fans.
I worried EA buying Bioware would effect their game quality, I believed EA when they said they had changed. Then they shipped Dragon Age 2 and now this news. It's over for oldskool quality Bioware games.
I'll probably buy it as I want to see the end of the story, but I can see a point in the very near future where BW games do not register the slightest on my radar.
All good things come to an end.

What's that weapon Kaidan is carrying?
Looks like a Katana.
Really don't think that is Kaidan, armor is way to heavy for him, believe that may be Saunders.
Are you kidding me? Have you played Mass Effect. I didn't know that Kaidan had a twin. That's definitely Kaidan.

Delay, well as long as they are using the time to make a better game, get rid of all bugs etc, then it's all good

Well, not in number, really. I really don't remember God of War 3 winning too many awards, although I'm sure it did. At the major sites I remember, RDR and ME2 basically split the awards between them. Now, there are so many *potential* GOTY. But who knows.

ME2 and Red Dead won because those were the best two games that came out last year bar-none. However, nobody can say God of War 3 or StarCraft 2 were light-weight franchises that were not being eagerly anticipated with a massive amount of hype behind them and were both extremely well recieved. The idea that ME2 racked up GOTY's because there was nothing out that year is absurd.

OK, seriously? This idea has to stop.
First off, why is it that every single time the words "broader market" are mentioned, the CoD crowd has to be the scapegoat? Seriously, I hate that goddamn series and yet I keep finding myself sympathizing with its community after all the crap they have to put up with from everyone and their mother that blames them for changes on any game that merely hints in changing in the slightest.
Secondly, what does catering to a broader audience has to do with Dragon Age 2's failure? That game sucked because it had repetitive dungeons, empty enviornments, an uninteressting plot, bugs up the whazoo, loadings everywhere, boring and repetitive combat... do you mind telling me how in the hell is that supposed to cater to new audiences? Do the CoD games have that sort of things going for them? Is it the fault of the CoD crowd again?
Dragon Age 2 was rushed because they wanted to cash in on the franchise. If you want to blame someone, blame the fans that were already there and kept talking about about romancing everything that moved and the possibility of pregnancies and other crap like that. That must have really painted a nice picture of the average DA fan.
Third, please don't ever write "oldskool" again. It does nothing for your claims about all the "dumbing down", because apparently the games you've been playing have already done that.
