I've just completed A New Path, but I still cannot remove Merrill from my party. When I try to change my party, it still shows the golden lock on her portrait. According to my journal, I don't have any quests for which Merrill is necessary, but maybe I've missed something. Is there something else I have to do after completing the quest in order to remove her?

Using a "gather your party" board or going "home" has worked for me before.
