Gutted but there are plenty of great games coming out this autumn such as Gears of war 3 and Batman Arkham city so not as painfully for the release to be in the first few months of 2012. That screenshot with that building looks AMAZING!

A bit disappointed that I have to wait longer than I'd hoped, especially since I'll probably be leaving academia back for legal practice early next year (=no paid 2 weeks off for gaming). Still, prefer Bio to take their time and make it even more awesome than get a more... hastened product.

Great! Better to take the time it needs than to rush it.

There are 2 new screenshots up in the Mass Effect 2 Gallery

Today we have confirmed that Mass Effect 3 will be released in the first three months of 2012. The development team is laser focused on making sure Mass Effect 3 is the biggest, boldest and best game in the series, ensuring that it exceeds everyone’s expectations.”  said Casey Hudson, Executive Producer Mass Effect series.

We'll have more details about specific dates as we get closer to release.

Holiday 2011, eh?  (Never thought that was likely, TBH)

Glad you guys decided to give the game a few more months in the oven. Anyway, there are plenty of other quality games coming out later this year to keep me going until ME3.

Good to see that ONE BioWare team doesn't rush their games, at least.

Wow I wonder which world is depicted in the first screenshot! Could this be our very own 22nd century Earth? Or maybe the blue-scheme hints at Thessia?! I see a vague resemblance to the Destiny Ascension, which was an Asari ship. Can't wait to find out!

I doubt it's for longer development time. Most likely was to avoid being stomped by Gears of War 3, Skyrim, Uncharted 3, Call of Duty, etc :o

Actually, I am glad that the release date has been postponed. More time to polish the game is a wonderful idea. Good luck :)

And from the personal perspective: I should be back home by the time it's released so I won't need to get crazy because I can't experience the last installment of ME (in case ME3 was released in Holiday 2011) :)

I knew the Holiday season would be too good to be true..

Well it is all good. We can have more time with Skyrim and Batman : Arkham City. I am willing to wait for Mass Effect 3's awesomeness

2012 Q1 is better then Q1 2013 also L.A Noire should keep me occupied for quite awhile until ME3 comes out next year :)
