I would normally be absolutely livid if something like this happened but I'm ok with it in this case because it means that I get to play the other games coming out this holiday season, while saving the best for last.

I've never been happier to hear that a game is getting delayed. Thank you, Chris!

I can't help but be proud of the fanbase I'm a part of after sifting through 7 pages and seeing mainly positive reactions - you can see that this isn't some conveyor FPS people are simply eager to get their hands on, but a genuine conclusion to their stories they just want to experience in best condition possible. :D I think it speaks pretty high of the developer and where they stand in the hearts of the fans. As for me, same story. Take all the time in the world Bioware, and make sure ME3 rocks the year 2012.

Best news I could have heard.
Now I have time to re-craft ME1->ME2 saves/playthroughs for every possible combination I want to play ME3 with. Another bonus- this won't conflict with Skyrim etc. for the end of this year. ME3 is sure going to dominate my playing time when it comes out.
Lastly- Go Bioware! Make ME3 BEAST

Guess that means I can actually play Skyrim properly and won't have to put it aside once ME3 comes out.B)

First 3 months? Could come out on my birthday, that'd be pretty nifty. Take as much time as you need Bioware - well, as long you don't pull a Duke Nukem on us.

I don't mind a delay but I would prefer a February release because January is exam month at my university.

At first I was a tad disappointed, but like many others, I know this is for the best! Time will take care of itself! Heaps of stuff to do this year. :)

Keep up the good work BioWare. :)

Take your time Bioware. No worries here, all we want is the
best  game ever and if you need to take more time to deliver that then go
right ahead. We know you guys wont disappoint.

Oh, well. Gives us more time to get a perfect Shepard going. and finish up an other distractions. Looking forward to a more RPG experience. Wonder if the programmer could redo ME2 with the ME3 setup.

Aaaw..delayed? Ok, somehow I knew it would happen, seeing how BioWare prefers to release their games in spring. This also means that ME3 won't have to contest with other uber RPGs like The Witcher 2 and TES: Skyrim for this year's GOTY and safely get it next year.
Anyways, keep up the good work and make ME3 the best game you've ever made (just don't take too long trying to make it perfect). We fans will eagerly await for its "arrival".

My guess is they're releasing The Old Republic this winter and Mass Effect had to make room.

Thank you BioWare, for taking your time. Your fans will gladly wait for your best.

This.

Any real fan will want the game to be as polished as can be, rather then released early with bugs/glitches. This gives me hope that Bioware is indeed trying to make ME3 the best of the series.

Critically, BioWare has their work cut out for them on a level that very few developers have ever faced. A 96 on Metacritic doesn't allow for much breathing room.

Across the fanbase, BioWare has even more work to make the maximum number of the most invested players happy. That's... a lot of effort.

Give it to me in 2012. Give it to me in 2013 for all I care. I know I'll love it because I loved the first two. But yes, there's a lot more pressure going into the final chapter. I can't wait... but I can.
