Right, it wasnt bad, but Bioware fans expect more. Much more then DA2 could deliver. We dont want to play a "not bad" game! We want to play an EPIC game! RPG of the year 2012!
And thats why all Bioware fans are happy that ME3 is delayed.

I loved starting off 2010 with ME2 and I'm looking forward to starting 2012 off with ME3!!! Honestly, I'm happy for the delay because this winter already has a crowded release schedule. I trust Casey Hudson and his team to make this game epic with the extra time they've requested. I hope EA gives future BioWare titles the time they need to make the games BioWare is known for

This is a great decision by The Bioware Staff very wise, besides it gives them extended time to ensure that ASHLEY OR KAIDAN, LIARA, ZAEED, LEGION, SAMARA, TALI, MORDIN, GARRUS, MIRANDA, GRUNT, JACOB, THANE, JACK and KASUMI are all PLAYABLE CHARACTERS THROUGH OUT THE WHOLE GAME and are ALWAYS ONBOARD THE NORMANDY.......HINT HINT BIOWARE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!

And you people talking about the world ending in 2012 need to learn your crackpot prophecies a bit better. The world is supposed to end just before christmas 2012. You'll have months to play it before the continents slide into the sea or the world is fried by a gamma ray burst or whatever those nutjobs think.

I think most in EA will be dissapointed with the reaction to DA2 from many fans so they'd rarther avoid a repeat performence so have likely shyed away from pushing out Mass Effect 3 too soon to avoid being accused of rushing games out.

I adore Dragon Age 2, however,  I agree that most fans were expecting a lot more. That being said, if Casey Hudson needs more time to make ME3 the game he envisions, then EA shareholders are best served by giving him that time. See, these EA guys think in terms of money, so you gotta appeal to their sensibilities

That's like 20 squad members it's a ridiculous request unless you want all of them to have like one line of dialogue XD

2012 means the game is taking its time to be at least as good as Mass Effect 2 witch is already my favorite Singleplayer RPG of all time (With Kotor on a very, very close 2nd).
I can´t wait to see the awesomem game Bioware will deliver to us all

Probably tons of people have already noticed and stated this, but I just realized the 'party' screenshot is one of the first detailed looks to a (few) new gun(s) (though we don't know if these actually make it to the game). In fact, isn't it remarkable that this is one of the few more 'official' shots in which Shepard doesn't hold his more or less signature assault rifle?

Guess that will give me some time with Battlefield 3 before my gaming becomes devoid of anything but Mass Effect again. Still a delay is crushing even though I know it will pay off in the long run. A good decision, but dammit!

Chris, can you ask the guys who made the cityscape screenshot if we can get a high-res version (maybe 1920x1200) for use as desktop backgrounds?  The current one is pretty good, but not large enough for most monitors.

I totally support the move. I just hope this is not just about sale strategy and Casey's team will absolutely work on the polish. There's already too many interesting games in 2011 anyway.

I rather get a delayed game knowing its being made to become the best it can ever be, handled with the most care and dedication than get a game released sooner than its actually ready.

AS HARD AS THIS IS.....Before it was hard enough knowing it was holiday season. and i do want to RAGE.....that was my initial reaction- i wont lie. But I understand. I know Mass effect 3 is in great hands with BW's determination and focus. All us fans love ya for taking the time to make this game the best ever. [knowing its high expectations. No pressure! lol]

Neither of those are new weapons.  Shep's holding a Mattock.  Kaidan's got a Scimitar.

Great news now we get great game not some unfinished s**t like DA 2 with more 12 locations. PS. Keep the good work guys and give ME 3 more RPG elements then even ME 1 have:)
