Hmmm, funny.......... I would totally get rid of Garrus, Tali, Legion and Mordin + half of the rest of the crew to get Ash/KaidAn back and I love Legion and Mordin *shrugs*..............crimzontearz wrote...
I'd sacrifice both Ash and KaidAn if that meant getting Garrus, wrex, Tali, Legion and Mordin as full squaddies
In fact I would give ALL their lives to TIM to have him resurrect Ashley and I will happily spend ME3 with my two favourites by my side

I like ME2...I think as a whole it's one of the best games ever created...sure the majority of the storyline is complete suxxzor because it's totaly interchangeable and you didnt even need half of those "experts" for that mission, but I honestly wasn't bothered by the wepons or armor all that much. I feel ME1 was abit overboard with the massive ammount of meaningless interchangeable items. They say it will be better in ME3 with interchangeable items that change both appearence and attributes. I can live with the game mechanics because thats not what I consider most important...its the story and the characters that I consider the most important.
I agree. I think ME2 VASTLY streamlined and improved the gameplay. While some may prefer me1, i have been able to get 3 friends to play me2. i could never get anyone to get into me1 because the clunky interface turned them off. their loss, but still. me2 made me love the gameplay element.
but me1 had a sort of... Soul is the closest word i think for it. it just had this spirit of camraderie on the ship and wonder at the strangeness of the galaxy and this deep connection with shep's past and his/her moving into the future. there was something about the combo of an interesting boss to track down, the narrative focus on shep, etc., that made it work better as an overall story and rpg. not to mention the romances/friendships seemed more genuine.
so if they manage to deliver on the promises of me1's rpg elements and continue the awesome gameplay stuff of me2, and for heaven's sake, get some CLOTHES on the female squaddies, i'd be beyond happy.

This except I wouldn't want her to rot on my ship I want her to rot on the nearest failing colony. I want the option to kick her or kaiden off the ship.

@ kylecouch I'm afraid that BW not only will "makeover" Ash, but also the game. To me ME2 is hardly a RPG, compare to DAO! Makes me angry and offtopic...
But you know...our viewpoint is without question in the minority...because every other website with ME3 info everyones like "ZOMG ASHELYS HOT NOW ITS ABOUT TIME!!11!!11!!1!1!" so looks like we have to accept that fan service is more important than the characters. Although that was already proven by making all the DA2 LI's bi so I guess this shouldn't be a surprise.

To be perfectly honest I like both versions of Ashley (sadly I will only see Ashley in my son's games, my daughter's BF's game or youtube, as a Kaidan fan) And I like both versions of Kaidan too, I get what the issue is though........ It is the overt sexualizing to make her appealing to people who didn't give a damn before.... But I do think she is beautiful either way and she is my second favourite ME character (across both games) I love how capable she is and she was great in my games since I only once played soldier to unlock assault rifles...kylecouch wrote...

On the bright side, think of it this way - at least they didn't do what they did to DA:O characters *sniff*
I mean Ash and Kai do look good, those of us who always knew they were hot can be fairly smug right now

Mmmmm, but that's dumb isn't it... because unless I totally missed the point of the Ash thread, Ash FANS like her just fine without a do-over, right? I don't think she needed a different look just the benefit of the better graphics would have been enough, but as I say, I think she is still lovely.kylecouch wrote...
Kaiden looks fantastic in my opinion...that awsome beard they gave him makes him look all rugged and stuff. While I do think Ash looks good...it's the fact shes a character who would never willingly dress like that. Thats really the only reason I care, the character's isn't allowed to be themselves...they have to be changed to suit the fans. And idk what happend to DA but it went from masterpiece to borderline vomit in one game...I really hope ME don't share the same fate.
And yes Kaidan looks great, we are quite pleased

She has way too much makeup on. I like the old Ashley better; the new look doesn't suit her personality.kylecouch wrote...
You wana talk about a makeover? Ashely's got Miranda beat these days...observe...

Also observe my Avatar pic for a side by side compairison lol.
While I personally prefered the tom-boyish look shes had until now, most gentlemen I assume prefer the new "pretty" version. As long as she can still drill you between the eyes at a hundred yards I don't mind. ^.^
I hope she doesn't look like that all the time.

Indeed...I will hate Bioware for all time if they turn Ashely into the new Miranda eye candy that was worthless in combat imo.
Miranda was the single most powerful squad member with Warp and Overload. The weakest one was Jacob.
