As long as it isn't delayed with like four months, I won't mind.

not a bad thing, this way it will be perfect and we all have time to play skyrim and uncharted and battlefield and also it means it will be an automatic GOTY in 2012

Not getting any of those myself >>

Ah well least I'll have Saints Row Three...if not that then at least Warhammer 40k. If not that, I'll buy something else, or set a town on fire, whichever.

While I'm saddened that it will be longer until the game is released, I'm gladdened by the thought that this gives them more time to add content and iron out bugs.

Probably due to The old republic MMO. Or they don't want to compete with Skyrm and Battlefield 3. Don't think it's a question of polish, companies never postpone to polish a game (see DA2) but only for profit reasons. Or maybe it couldn't fit in to some actors planning. Making the game better? Not a chance.

This is great news, i already was skeptical about ME3 considering the short developing time (considering the DA2 fiasco). This extra development time will hopefully make ME3 the greatest mass effect game. Remember guys that there is only one shot at this game, i prefer they get it right rather than rush it and miss the chance to make history.

No big worries anyway, will have Dead Island along with Silent Hill 8 and Skyrim and additional playthroughs of ME1/2 to keep busy until the holy grail that is ME3.

This is good news, better have it delayed and well working then release it on time but with huge flaws.

It's a bit disapointing but better than releasing an inferior product. Hopefully Diablo 3 will not be delayed.

This is bad news for me. I was excited for the planned release date, because I'd have much more time to play it late 2011. Early 2012, I'll be pretty damn busy.

After the Dragon Age 2 fallout, I'm all for Bioware taking their time on the third Mass Effect. Since this is the final part of the trilogy it needs to be really good, and not feel like an updated version of ME2. Plus, this gives me extra time to recreate my Shepard.

Probably for the best for the game, but you know it wasn't an easy choice for Bioware: now that it's passed the holidays, ME3 is going to sell a lot less quickly.

You don't think they'll work at all to make the game better during that time?
Pretty cynical. lol

I'm gonna agree with this.

I can't imagine they'd add any more polish to it - I think they know it's gonna sell a bunch, no matter how un/polished it is upon release.   (yes, I'm a little jaded after DA2...)

I really don't mind as long as the delay was made for the right reasons; like polishing and making sure everything fits together in a coherent manner (something that Dragon Age II occasionally had faults with). DA II was fun, but it could have been quite a bit more epic, especially the ending (which left something to be desired). More time in the oven would have made it better, and ME3 must BE PERFECT, so if it takes a few extra months- so be it.

HOWEVER! If this delay is for other reasons, such as implimenting multiplayer or doing some other really dumb cash-grab. I will be furious at EA (not at Bioware because I know that if such a thing occurred, it wouldn't have been their idea).

so what do they do with the extra time then? Twiddle their thumbs?

After everything that was said about Ash's new look I, very much, hope that they're taking care to put her back to the way she was rather than "Mirandizing" her.

Good. I've always been skeptical about the 2011 date. Pushing it back until 2012 is a good idea. It helps relieve my fear that ME 3 will be like DA 2. :pinched:

Hah. Looks like they can't afford another DA2 debacle.

Also, more time now to add competitive online multiplayer!
