Fenris, he kicks my mage hawkes booty and poor ANders didnt have that many atttack spells, He kept shouting about fire, so I finally gave him a firespell , but really he is healer spec'd, and you cnat heal someone to death.

Anders is a good healer (the devs had to give him some redeeming qualities or many would never use him EVER). When I play a mage, Anders draws dust unless I need him to further the story. Spirit healing and a couple group buffs and we're good to go.

Hahaha.  I play mostly mages, and I usually have Anders a lot of the times, only time he sits out is if I feel like taking Merrill around for a spin.  During my warrior/rogues, both Anders and Merrill/Bethany were with me most of the time (other than when helping Fenris).  I'm playing a 3 mage + rogue party right now because I love fighting with mages.  I'm even re-doing Origins with mostly a 3 mage + archer party because it's so much fun. (and not having to concern myself with friendly fire is so sweet)

I don't know why Anders came to Hawke for help, Sandal was definitely the man for the BOOM job, for sure!

LOL.  Again, as I said, depends on how you spec, but I'm currently breezing on through and killing hard things right now by my lonesome because of my high HP and HP regen + healing (oh blood mage, how I love thee).  You don't have to heal someone to death, just outlast them and even the most weaksauce of spells or your staff will eventually bring them down.  Add to that some spells that disable or stun or immobilize someone... and the only way Fenris wins is if his strength and weapon are so high on DPS that he kills in one shot and/or lands stun on the mage (assuming they're face to face, but then the mage can stun instantly before Fenris can even bring up his weapon).

I noticed that mages depend a lot on strategy and the choices in spec... AI is rather stupid with that, while Fenris AI just needs to hammer away and do okay.
I think I've posted too much here ... not cool since I love Fenris and Anders and I don't want to choose!!!
I already had Anders kill Fenris in the Fade (I was busy with the demon) and had Fenris kill Anders endgame (I didn't want to touch him plus Anders froze Hawke lolz).
They can kill eachother and in my experience the one who wins is the one that is either:
a. controlled by me, the player
OR
b. controlled by smart tactics set up by me, the player.

So the answer is: HAWKE WINS.

(by having a threesome with Fenris and Anders.  haha)

I had Anders one-shot Fenris or Hawke several times with an upgraded Winter's Blast as well (that was before I learned not to put that spell in his tactics).


From a gameplay perspective, Anders would probably win, simply because his abilities are ranged. Especially if he has crowd control spells.

If Anders gets whithin range of Fenris's closing attack however, he is dead meat.

Fenris would probably win. He has magical resistance and can oneshot Anders easily.

Don't get me wrong, I love Anders- but Unstoppable Death Machine trumps Squishy Wizard every time. Every time.

I would say Fenris though, if only because of the whole "I can rip people's hearts out of their chest" thing.

Fenris, definitely.
I've come to this conclusion from romancing Fenris and watching how jealous Anders gets. Where if you romance Anders, Fenris doesn't get jealous.

Anders would win easily. Fernis would be doing charitable work with the Fereldan SPCA and the widow and orphans of Thedas and Anders would blow up the building they are in.

If Anders had lyrium tattoos, it might be a close fight, but come on. Anders is a squishy sack compared to Fenris. As mentioned earlier, what's he going to do - heal someone to death? Maybe a little crushing prison? Perhaps a wimpy fireball? Woo. That just buys him time. Fenris can do 1-hit kills if leveled up correctly.

Plus, OMG, it's so hard to respect someone who screams desperation. Poo on you, Anders.

Overall, Fenris wins. No contest.
