I think they should forget about using the word "awesome" for a a while instead of this reverse psych thing using it as a badge of honor. It really was not that awesome guys, average maybe but hardly awesome.

I'd like to see a DLC about the mirror/Tamlen/Merrill -- something along those lines. Didn't Merrill say she thought she saw Tamlen in Kirkwall someplace?

Any companion-based DLC would be fine with me. I did not bother with many of the Origins DLCs because they were bizarre or totally unrelated to the main story. The low point being the "Play as a Darkspawn DLC."

Witch Hunt, Return to Ostagar, and Warden's Keep were pretty decent, though, if a bit short.

It depends on the DLC.
Considering a more cosmetic than substantial DLC (and yes, I consider adding new weapons or armors more cosmetic than substantial), I would like something that shows better the passing of the years in the environment, and tricks to make the city more lively (more people, perhaps random events and encounters connected to the population and the general situation of Kirkwall in that Act, even some city-related side quests). Giving more options connected to your house could also be nice.

For a DLC that expands the game area, I would like to see something related to the other main cities of the Free Marches, at least Starkhaven and Tantervale. I actually find quite unrealistic that Hawke does not go out of Kirkwall in seven years. This DLC could be well fit within the acts (apart between the prologue and Act I when you do not have much freedom - even if some mission for the Mercenaries or the Smugglers could bring you there). I'm sure it's quite easy to create a recurring parallel story involving the other cities of the Free Marches, that happens in between the main plot.

Regarding a more story-related DLC, I would like to see more depth connected to the choice you make at the beginning regarding whom to work with in order to enter the city.
At first, I would expand that part, adding a couple of options (that perhaps are activated adding some quests in the prologue that open these possibilities - not every option must come necessarily by Gamlen). The year between the prologue and Act I can be easily filled by ad-hoc quests depending of your choice, representing the jobs you have to make for the group you work with. This would allow to feel Kirkwall more "part of yourself" and establish a "friendship/rivalry" relationship with your "masters" that could influence your choices after. Then, I would give the possibility to the players to pursue the connections that are made during this phase. This could be done within the acts or even in the acts themselves. Several options can be opened: do you want to climb the ranks of the group you chose and become its leader? do you want to turn against them and create, thanks to your connections, a completely new group in competition? and so on. Between the Acts II and III you could even manage the group or an analogous one, not only through personal quests but also sending your subordinates to missions (perhaps creating something similar to a "stronghold management") that could influence the story or the city development somehow. You could in this way become in control of one of the most powerful forces in the city, and depending of the way you decide to drive it (merciless mercenaries? honourable smugglers? criminal mastermind? elite society of Hightown?) you could make your mark on the city even more.

2 Cities in ONE DLC? That's twice the amount of cities in the entire main game!

I actually find quite unrealistic that Hawke does not go out of Kirkwall in seven years.

He goes to The Wounded Coast, a Warehouse, and That Cave.

Curtain Pack #01, specially made for your estate.

Imprints depend on your class. Also, each imprint must be bought separately. If you pre-order it, you get an unique unicorn imprint that'll surely outrage Fenris, resulting in an instant rival romance or rival friendship.

Unicorn Print curtains is quite possibly the best idea ever. If that was in fact an item in the DLC (I cannot confirm or deny that!) I would wear it as a wizard robe just to enrage Fenris constantly. He really asks for it. :wizard:

(Despite the fact that it was made 8 days ago...)

...Me and my big mouth.

I should stop giving BioWare "good" ideas. Not that I ever gave good ideas to begin with...

Either way, I'd rather have story DLC, thank you very much.

They don't have to have the same level of detail than Kirkwall... ;)

Let's pretend I have the desire to use my almighty power to make the DLC whatever story you want to be pursued. What kinds of stories/plots would you like to see continued on or opened up? Or would you rather some completely unrelated adventure that explores something brand new? Discussion battle is go!

I second everyone who suggests Starkhaven. I think it's an ideal tack-on, and you can bring Sebastian in whether you bought the DLC or not. You would be doing one of two things: 1) taking back Starkhaven from the usurper (if you supported Sebastian in Act 3), or 2) sieging Starkhaven because it attacked Kirkwall.

The sieging Starkhaven works out well, because if you didn't support Sebastian in Act 3 OR if you didn't have the Sebastian DLC, that would be the path. Regardless of whether or not Sebastian met Hawke, because of Anders' actions Sebastian would want reprisal against Kirkwall. Not knowing Hawke, he would be even more blind to the particulars and probably assume that the Mages had done it, not Anders specifically.

You get two basic paths with a small variance in the second (Sebastian has indiscriminate rage toward Kirkwall because of what happened to the Chantry there and wants to bring it to heel OR he has rage because he feels personally betrayed by Hawke). If you backed Sebastian and you are coming to Starkhaven with him in toe, you just replace the villain with the usurper!

Either way, it could be a fun DLC because it would be up to Hawke to decide how to retake/siege Starkhaven and there would be choices in what quests and methods to use. All out frontal assault? Something a little more clandestine? Or maybe use of heinous blood magic and rending the Veil! The scenario could be not too long, but have high replay value depending on your Hawke's choices in the main DA2 and in deciding how to go about addressing the Starkhaven problem.

How about a #*%@& ending!? Can I get an ending, please! Anyone? Is that a possiblility?

Edit: Lol. Assuming I can bring myself to re-install the game for any future DLC'ing purposes...

This is operating under the assumption that the military power of Kirkwall (Templars) would bother supporting you. I don't see it happening, and I honestly don't want to see Starkhaven. Expand the woefully underdeveloped Kirkwall and surrounds, then look outwards.

In an unexpected turn of events, EA pulls the plug on the Dragon Age franchise. BioWare ceases all further planned development.
Then I suddenly woke up and realised my coffee was cold.

First, thanks for asking Luke. I see lots of great ideas for stories here, but for me, I'd like to really distinguish between what I'd want for a DLC and an expansion.

For finishing up the story, post-Act 3, I'd really prefer a full blown expansion. I really just felt like I was left hanging waiting for an Act 4, so I think that's the most ripe for explaining (why did the companions scatter? what does the chantry really want from the champion and/or the warden? etc). I'd prefer a more robust offering for that, instead of a short Morrigan-like DLC.

For a DLC I'd prefer something that enriches the core campaign...and for me, that's expanding the companion relationships. I love the characters in this game, and felt like they got to have all the fun talking to each other instead of to me...even the ones who were in love with me. So, I'd like anything that allows more interactions with them, whether that's filling in between acts (I mean, it's hard to imagine some conversations really waiting three years, ahem) or filling in backstory or sidestory for some of the more interesting tales we heard. Then, of course, there are my very favorite ideas, like anything with MORE FENRIS, a "date" pack, following up with Sebastian, or Cullen as a LI, or some other fun suggestions I've seen....

expand on act 3 and tie in some semi-related stuff.

but if you do another armor/weapon pack add at least 4 suits of armor for each class as well as cool looking weapons not the crappy daggers and axe you put in the last one also a couple really cool shields.

also make a way for me to keep bethany away from the wardens/ circle becuase she is one of the best compainons and then I can't use her for the whole game

no, if you play as Dalish warden, Tamlen is one of the shrieks that attack your camp.  so, Merrill was mistaken.

Some more gameplay/quests/locations would be nice (we dont need items), please dont set any DLC in the same locations as the main game, i think we have all seen enough of those...:) And please make it a decent length not something to be done and dusted in 2-3 hours (or less)....but more importantly i think we would all appreciate just some info, 'ok this is the idea....it will be x months/weeks away' ya know, other wise in the end its all pointless speculation...:).

Today I read that CDPR will offer all DLC for Witcher 2 for free. To be honest if that is true I really hope that Witcher 2 will outsell DA2 and the other games published by EA.
