Or would you rather some completely unrelated adventure that explores something brand new? Discussion battle is go!

Something that continues the story after the credits like Lair of the Shadow Broker and Arrival for ME2.

What I think it will be: 3 Gear packs, a short addition like the "Hammerhead" from ME2 and then in about a year's time we'll see some serious* expansions.

What i want: The Toolset, 3 story additions in the next year, 3 Free sets of Companion Armor, and an apology.

*Serious as in content that is maybe an hour extra, total.

NO!

Fine...

Ok, about *Hawke* then. Well, other than plot holes. I would like inserted gameplay features that should have already been in the game. Also unique enviroments would do the game great justice if you ask me.

Story wise... well plot-holes yes. Alot of them. I would like them filled to the brink of plot..iness please :P

Glad to know you see reason. :P

What are these gameplay features which you mention? The awesome button has already been implemented, there is nothing else the game could possibly need.

But unique environments are a must, yes, as well as proper story elements. Though it's impossible to get really deep and *beefy* DLC, even LotSB was pretty linear in some respects. And if it were to be any bigger they may as well make an expansion. But failing all this, something that fills in the 3 year gaps, as I've said plenty of times before. Perhaps some expansion of the relationships Hawke has with the many companions, Aveline's solstice dinner, something.

Well gameplay features should be implemented by patches. As for stories. Well there are plenty of possibilities. But I'm hoping for ONE big package. Not a $3 DLC for each companion.

:P

1. idea
I would like to have the prologue of Hawke. The Story how Hawke he/she went with his brother to fight in Ostagar, how they managed to escape Ostagar. For the the mage Hawke a separate story line. Why went the mage / apostate Hawke to Ostagar. In the middle of all templer. What was the reason.

2. idea
A story post Act3. Hawke travels through the mountains. He mets Flemeth, she is in trouble, templer are chasing her, she is in bad condition. Two "real" story line
a) side with flemeth against the templer, the church, became a true renegade, travel with Flemeth to new adventures
B) side with the templer, fight against Flemeth, "capture or  kill" storywise, became a templer knight commander.

a lot more ideas.

But, tell me Luke, if you could make a DLC of your own choice. What would it be?

I'd like to see something more about Starkhaven. Sebastian is always saying he wants to retake it, then he just gets wimpy about it because a bunch of murderers are dead. I'd like to see something about Sebastian finally coming to terms with things and taking Starkhaven back. Maybe a couple side quests as well in Starkhaven?

Well me Personally would pay 30 bucks for a 1 min dlc if it was a larger nuke than Anders one and totally wiped Kirkwall of the face of Thedas ....

I won't lie - the unicorn curtains are tempting...

Something pre-fleeing Lothering would be top on my wishlist (opening the game in Ostegar/Lothering depending on class), but since I'm guessing the implementation might be a bit of a 'mare then something covering the first year as a smuggler/mercenary would give plenty of opportunities for fun and maybe explain the arguments hinted at in the letters Hawke gets. That or something covering the three years between Acts 2 & 3 that allow for more character development with Meredith and Orsino.

I'm guessing there's already something Starkhaven/Sebastian related in the works so I'll leave that alone.

I'd like something to let you play as an elf or dwarf... the modders already kind of did it, shouldn't be too hard for Bioware to pull it off, and as we already know Hawke and his family are really the side-show to the Isabella Act 2 and Anders Act 3 stories any ways, not the main focus.

Obviously I'm not at liberty to discuss anything in detail about any upcoming story DLC but I'll say a few things that will hopefully sate your curiousity for now

First of all, it's awesome. Yup. Awesome.
Secondly, we're ensuring that it is of the utmost quality when it is finally released and as such have really taken our time to incorporate all the feedback we've been receiving from the forums and make changes/additions accordingly.
Third, it's awesome. Did I mention that? B)

We will have more information on it as gets closer to release but don't expect anything too soon; the patch and game quality are top priority.

This is about the third time I've heard a BioWare dev say that the DLC includes feedback from the forum. Storywise, there's a great deal of feedback, but not everything could be handled in a DLC.

However, many agree that Act 3, the conflict between Meredith and Orsino, and the lyrium idol didn't get enough build up for the player so how about...

  • Story DLC exploring the story behind the idol and the primeval thaig
  • Story DLC expanding on Orsino or Meredith and the situation at the Kirkwall Circle

What do you think might be coming up?

It will be awesome, huh? I'll hold BioWare on its word then!!! :lol:

In regard to Sebastian, I would love to learn more about him. I haven't romanced him yet, because I'm on the fence about the chantry/chaste brother business. I get it, but I think I/Hawke should be able to change his mind. (Helllooo, I'm the Champion)!

It would be awesome to actually see Starkhaven and Tantervale. On the load screens, it's mentioned that those, along with Kirkwall, are the largest cities in the Free Marches. As it turns out, the Free Marches has many other cities and regions that we've heard mentioned, but haven't seen. What a perfect time to incorporate them into DLC. A possible sidequest could be The Grand Tourney. Since a Champion is crowned at the tourney, wouldn't it be fitting if Hawke actually earned the title in a battle of skill?

Perhaps with this DLC it could be integrated within the main story, and the tourney would take place within one of the 3-year time warps. With the purchase of this new DLC, Sebastian's could just be tacked on as a freebie.

I'd love to see Hawke meet up with some of the cameo characters from DA2 some more to explain more of what is going on, big picture-wise. Or some Morrigan run ins mentioning the Warden and again, more big picture stuff. Or! If you guys are really trying to get more content cooking, maybe an expansion with all the LI's?

A DLC that shows us a Dire Bunny and Sword of Truthiness, as mentioned by the little Cousland boy in DA:O. Not sure why they didn't make it into the codex.

This. What I don't want is something inserted into the narrative (i.e. Varric: "I just remembered that between Acts 2 and 3 this happened.")

My guess:

One rushed DLC about a new companion + shallow personal quest, 2 new locations outside of Kirkwall, half of the DLC plays inside Kirkwall, about 3-4 hours of additional gameplay, a few new items nobody gives a damn about...and yep, thats what I'm expecting. Oh, forgot the price: 17.50$

I would like a DLC where the people of Kirkwall get a shiny new section of the city to play around in, but unfortunately it looks like the old parts of the city and ninjas fall from the sky... so the citizens who get awfully sandy between the thighs over trivial matters like a new section of the city lament about it on the Chantry Board, and declare that Kirkwall is dead to them and they will never believe in another product from Kirkwall again... then they go cry into their pillows while cutting their wrists.

I would buy that DLC in a heartbeat... in fact, I'd buy two.

Probably - if devs posts are to be trusted - it will be a large, expensive expansion, continuing Hawke's story, which will play drastically differently depending on if your PC is a mage and in the end you will make a choice that will actually alter the ending in some way.

Complete hawke story, either by filling the gaps between years (specially between act 2 and 3), or by continuating the story after the end game. I would like bioware to own up to it´s work and try to fix it as best as they can, not say "too hard to fix, let´s move to something else". In ME2 the shadow broker dlc was quite well implemented, and fixed many things that people wanted (including ability to retrain squadmates). I think bioware should adopt this policy and make use of the timegaps to flesh out the history of hawke and specially the other characters (like Orsino, Meredith etc.)

To put one example, there could be a dlc about the work that hawke has to do for the mercenaries/smugglers when he/she arrives on kirkwall, with different quests and consequences later on in the game if you sided with one or the other.

Let's pretend you have the power to enforce the NO SPOILERS ALLOWED rule for this board.

Use it!

There can't be, because DLC of a DLC character is... pretty deep. I need Leo for this job. Sorry.... I really am..

Anyway not everyone has Sebastian, if they want this new DLC will they have to buy Seb's DLC as well?
