My Dwarven noble character was made in rememberance of the prehistoric dwarves of Indonesia - ****** floresiensis.  They were real-life dwarves that lived in caves and had a wide array of stone tools.  I named her Tuti, which is a rare native Indonesian name, and I gave her an Asiatic look with a somewhat darker skin tone (one darker than Duncan).  Having a Dwarven princess is fun. :)

Anyway, this character will use Darkspawn weapens only, since they have more of a Stone Age look. So, is it better to be using two Darkspawn daggers, or a Darkspawn dagger and mace?  Isn't the attack speed dependent of the weapon that's the slowest?  Two daggers seemed to be very effective. The mace does slightly more damage, but it slows the attack down, and slows down the kill speed. Is there an "official" answer to this question.

BTW, she has all dual-weapon skills and lethality.

Rogues are most effective with high dexterity and dual daggers, to answer the main question, and yes, daggers are the fastest to attack with. You'll notice a drop off when using swords/axes, but it's nothing major.

If you're trying to r.p. your character or just have fun, go ahead with what you're trying to do. The game isn't so hard that you'll be punished for not being "optimized", though just know you'll be doing more damage with dual daggers.
