Cerberus is Shepard's enemy now.

I would really hate to see such a great character killed. I was hoping for some cooperation with him when the Reapers invade! Hopefully the relationship between Shepard and Cerberus might get repaired just as the Reapers make their final assault...

I did destroy the base (at least, in what I consider my "canon" walkthrough), but I still like him. And what he stands for.

The Alliance or whatever may see him as another Osama Bin Laden, but the guy is a true patriot, working behind the scenes to safeguard humanity even when the mainline factions are against him. So don't kill him, BioWare!

nah! the illusive man is going to become a martyr! he is gonna use his base to lure the reapers...that star by his station has had darkmatter dumped into it. he gonna send them all and himself to another dimension! and TIM will become king there!

But yeah, the Illusive Man was an interesting character with a great VA. Killing him would be a shame.

A better question would be:
Why would we be denied killing the Illusive Man?

Great character? All he did was dismissing, backstabbing and smoking. Kind of tame, really. I think the novels portrayed him better as a character.

I hope so (but it should be optional).

Still an interesting character. I may not like him and I will likely kill him but I still enjoyed him as a character.

Probably not.

(Have to kill him, I mean.) We probably either won't get the chance, or it will be in a matter of choice that justifies him/comes with significant cost.

We'll have a choice of whether or not to kill him.

But he'll prolly die either way.

He has likely hidden himself away someplace safe and secure, but with a ready supply of booze and cigars.

We wont find him, which will be a shame.

As just about everyone you encounter in Mass Effect can live or die based on you, I hope the same will apply to TIM. ill kill him with my paragons, let him live with my renegades. Course that will all depend on what I see in game, but the premise will remain.

If Shepard can die ... then no one should be safe. But it hopefully will be left up to the choices that Shepard makes.

He is awesome, but I hope we actually get to encounter him, and possibly put a bullet through one of his beady blue eyes.

Karmic Houdini.

Cerberus-carry over into the Mass Effect MMO/future material.

Why should you be entitled?

If that is in 3 then Hackett and Anderson both die as far I am concerned .
