If that is in 3 then Hackett and Anderson both die as far I am concerned .

What I wouldn't give to see your face when you realize that killing Hackett and Anderson isn't an option.  Or better yet, they let you kill them and you get the Critical 'Mission Faliure' screen. :P

Pardon me if I seem ungrateful , seeing as how it was Cerberus who rebuilt all my Sheps to be better, stronger, faster, but I am seriously excited about Cerberus being an enemy again. I hated them in the first game and never trusted them in the second, so if it comes down to it... TIM is toast.

This is pretty much how I feel....mostly.  I'm also of the same mind that TIM is actually a compelling villain (that's right....I called him a villain :P).  But...in all seriousness, he's rather interesting and yes, I agree that while cool to bring him before the Council for all his crimes (or, if necessary, put a bullet in his brain), it'd be a shame to lose such an interesting character.

At the inquiry, the Reapers have arrived...

Hackett:  Shepard! Get to the Normandy and get out of here!

Shepard:  Nope.

The Reapers destroy the building that Shepard is in.

Critical Mission Faliure.

End game, the final assault...

Hackett: Shepard, I need you to bring the combined Fleets in, we've got the Reapers in the Trap.

Shepard:  Nope.

Hackett:  What do you mean no?  If you don't come now the Reapers will get away and we'll never be able to beat them!

Shepard:  Nope, I had to kill The Incompetent Man, so I'm sulking and not gonna help you.

The Reapers escape, regroup and anihilate everyone.

Critical Mission Faliure.

Sure, go for it, its your game.

What's the big deal? It's the last game of the series, so it's not like we'll see him again anyway if he doesn't die.

To continue your thought, why not let the Reapers harvest all the galaxy? It's not like we'll see any of them if they don't die.

Ideally, we should have the choice to kill or not kill. In fact, there should be several other options like arresting, joining, overthrowing..etc.

Personally I hope there is a chance to kill TIM in ME 3, I look forward to putting a bullet in his head. So I hope Bioware gives us a chance or a choice to do it.

I imagine they'll preserve him for future use in the IP. He's too interesting of a villain to just discard so readily, especially since all of the mystery of the Shadow Broker, a similar figure, has long since been punctured. The Illusive Man fills a niche in the Mass Effect universe, and Bioware is undoubtedly aware of this.

^This^ for me...though I would like to see an option given, rejoin him if your a Cerberus fan, bullet neatly between his eyes if your of the aforementioned persuasion.

Are we going to to have to kill TIM? Well, I hope we don't HAVE to, but I certainly hope we get the chance. I think that would be a perfect paragon/renegade choice to have to make.

Killing TIM would just be soooooo satisfying. The first game made me hate Cerberus' guts and TIM just got on my nerves with his sneaky sneaking! I think they are a bad organization that needs to go down!

...but others feel differently which is a good thing...because it'll make my victory more satisfying!

Martin Sheen?

Karmic Houdini.

Cerberus-carry over into the Mass Effect MMO/future material.

Why should you be entitled?

also no matter how TsunTsun Shepard feels towards TIM there will also be the DereDere side.

I wouldn't kill him. Sure I hate Cerberus and everything they do but I'd rather put him in jail than get him killed. Besides he could still have useful information. Then there's also the chance that if he went to trial they'd probably execute him anyways. However I would still want him alive.
