Bioware, listen up. I will pay you for a Grand Theft Dragon. Give me a dragon to pimp out and let me burn down villages with it. I will pay for everything.

Already been made, though pimpin out can be a few things in this case.

It's a good thing to hear. DA:O was such an awesome game and I still have hope that Bioware remember their roots and make a real RPG again, at the same level as Dragon Age: Origins.

Yes, DA:RtP was a pretty mediocre game and a sheer disappointment and kick in the nuts for cRPG fans, but we all know that Bioware can do better and as much as I hate DA:RtP, I will be among the first to buy DA3 if it becomes as good as it used to be.

Just stop trying to cater to the CoD crowd or basically any crowd besides RPG players. And Mike, stop hating at us, thanks.

If EA is going to force Bioware to vomit out a DA title once a year, there will never be a deep RPG from Bioware ever again (My opinion).....

If EA gives them plenty of time between titles, then we may just see future great titles from Bioware again.

DA2 is just as awesome as DA1. Anyone who thinks DA1 is any better are folling themselves. It's not. DA1 = DA2. They're both RPGs where a high percentage of the gameplay is combat with dialogue, quests, inventory management, and exploration are thrown in. That's what BIO makes. That's what the DA series is.

DA2 has now sold 2mil+ so no doubt more DA stuff is on the way.

DA2 is winning!!!

Seriously dude?  With all of the faults that DA2 has in comparison with Origins,  you find it to be just as good, if not better?  Combat in Origins was awesome.  Just because you could not comprehend the mechanics to make it more enjoyable and fast paced, does not mean that the wave function, spamming auto attack, and a reduction in the amount of choice you have (e.g. weapons for certain classes, not customizing companion armor, reduce choice builds, ect) makes the combat better.  On top of that, ridiculous recycled dungeons and not being able to have a conversation with party members unless it is in a specific location and time.

Also, the lack of choices actually impacting the story and the outcome is almost nil.  The choices in Origins such as who becomes the dwarven ruler, the anvil of the void, werewolves or elves, who becomes king of fereldon, and many other possible outcomes that DA2 had none of.

You would have to have a seriouse lack of mental capacity to think that DA2 is anything like Origins.  Go away fanboy, your logic is illogical.

Ah! I see...so future IP for EA implies that more Dragon Age games are on their way?

Can't say I'm surprised.

Well, it was a strong suspicion before I read the article with Riccitello, but that just confirms it for me. Quality games from Bioware will be a thing of the past with Riccitello's leadership of EA.

It seems to me he (Riccitello) is looking to make DA one of his staple yearly titles (FIFA, Madden, NFS, etc,) and after seeing the disaster that was DA2 being rushed out the door (lack of choices, NPC's only talk to you when it is convenient for them, reused areas for everythng, disjointed plot, waves of enemies falling from the sky) I can't imagine BW having any significant dev time beyond 12-15 months for the next "new" DA title.

Alright, I'm no great fan of EA or anything like that, but let's be fair here. Has any EA IP outside the sports titles and possibly NFS been a yearly title? Battlefield isn't, Crysis isn't, The Sims isn't(though it has a truckload of expansions etc).

There are hysterical reactions to EA's handling of DA, but unless anyone(non-Bioware/EA employees naturally) really knows how much influence EA exerts over Bioware all of it is speculation.

EA didn't screw up Crysis even though they tried, EA can't screw up Battlefield because you don't kill the goose that lays the golden eggs. The Sims does well every single time. There are a host of EA published titles out there that aren't crap. C&C however, was abysmal and doesn't deserve another mention.

So, let's not look so far afield for conspiracies involving EA before quite simply looking at the corners that DA 2 cut while apparently quite free of EA influence. I believe a character in ME 1 once tried to warn Shepard about cutting corners. Some people haven't played their ME 1.

I think you have it the other way around, Shepard was telling that to the NPC, not the reverse.

edit - for non-spoilers

DAO model: 5 years of dev time invested returns $60 on average purchase, plus $20 in DLC.

DA2 model: 18-24 months invested returns $60 on average purchase, plus $20 in DLC.

Over one period of the DAO model, that DA2 model has the potential to make twice as much money. Making money is why every single one of us goes to work every day. So good for them. If they can continue to deliver DA2 games, I'll continue to buy them... right up until they stop entertaining me. That, however, was true for the BG/NWN/DAO games. I gave up on NWN2 because I got bored. I only bought DAO out of nostalgia. If DA2 was like DAO, I wouldn't be a BioWare customer right now (beyond the ME games).

Ideally, I'd like to see a team work on a new trilogy and then split. Part goes off to do "Part 2" on an 18-24 month cycle while the rest goes on to directly work on Part 3. It would be the best of both worlds. :-)

Now, I enjoyed DAO and DA2 equally. If I like the way a game looks, I buy it. If I don't like it, I don't buy it.

I honestly think people are taking the article the wrong way. You simply can't have a game like DA every year. Storyboarding alone takes months.
