Bioware don't make bad games. Time will tell. I have absolute faith in Bioware but fear they are getting swallowed up by a bigger company and a forum that most of the time rips them to shreds.

We will see "Dragon Age is Now Repetative Overpriced Crap."

Even if you disregard the fact that it's simply impossible to create an actual BioWare game every year, I don't think it really makes sense to interpret it that way. He's speaking to using their IP to make recurring profit (whereas now they just try to live one hit to the next, with a bunch of break-even or money-losing filler in between), not trying to flood the market every year with throwaway games that only end up diluting the IP and driving it into the ground (it would probably be the quickest way to shut the BioWare studio down, though).

I honestly never rated Bethesda games. FO 3 was the the biggest disappointment since no FO after 2. (to me that is)

Lol, Fallout 2 is probably my fave crpg of all time.
*brofist*
Also, Fallout 3 was a pretty good game. But you just had to pretend that it wasn't a Fallout game. That was the key to enjoying Fallout 3 for me. It was a non-canon spin off. Sadly, that would probably apply to New Vegas, despite NV being a pretty good sequel for Fallout 2.
You should try out Morrowind if you can. Would give you a good taste at what Bethesda's capable of. I honestly can't recommend Oblivion unless they've modded it beyond recognition, but Morrowind is a damn good game even out of the box, imo.
Anyways, I think more Dragon Age is a good thing. We all pretty much like the world, the story, the lore, etc. The games themselves could go one way or another, but I do think it does deserve to be fully fleshed out and it's story told.

What a way to end Bioware's wonderful run. Like seeing your favorite oscar winning actress start doing adult movies.
Oh well. Other places to spend my money.

Word.
Yes, there is that, but I don't do well at pretending that a pretend thing isn't pretend. NV actually knew what it took to get close to the Fallout feel, but that game engine...
I may try this Skyrim, since so much fuss is being made over it, but I hear it's going the way of DA 2 as well. Maybe one day I'll pick up Morrowind, because the only two Bethesda games I played were FO 3 and Oblivion, and I can't say I was impressed by either.
I like The Dragon Age Setting but I don't think I'll sit through another DA 2-esque game. Even my monitor has feelings, y'know.

Besides I don't know if I could go toe to toe with him in a boxing match if I decide that his latest attempt at a "movie" sucks, again.

Well, I don't know how many people can "stomach another DA 2", but it certainly deserves a chance. After all, it may be another DA:O.

It doesn't need to be like the sport franchises. I also think maybe EA is aware that the old sport franchise model is stale, and they are changing it even for their sport games.
He's talking IP here. Dragon Age is a bigger universe than Dragon Age: Origin. So what it could mean is that we get a DA:O "new" game every third year. Episodes using the same engine and much the same artwork, every year. Then, on the side, simpler action RPGs aimed mainly at the consoles, and even the Wii. Other content & games on handhelds, iPhones etc.

A couple of years ago there was drive from EA to change it's public perception, and there were things like publicly commenting that the previous of taking over smaller developers, changing them beyond recognition until they went under, and then firing everybody was wrong. There was even a wave of high profile game developers like John Carmack comming out and saying EA had changed it's ways and was no longer the Evil Empire. Looking back that sounds like a bad joke now lol.Alistairlover94 wrote...

Yes, DA:RtP was a pretty mediocre game and a sheer disappointment and kick in the nuts for cRPG fans, but we all know that Bioware can do better and as much as I hate DA:RtP, I will be among the first to buy DA3 if it becomes as good as it used to be.
DA: RtP? I assume that's DA2, but what does it stand for?
